Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? Classic

I was really hoping to get the version of the game that I enjoyed when I was young. This has been labeled as the "Classic" version of the game.. but it is not that at all. It is no where near the original game. The version I know and love from middle school was challenging then and I'm sure I would still have a good time with it now. The game I received was LAME. The product description needs to explain that it is not the original game. I may have to give up looking for the game as I don't want to waste any more money on games that aren't what they appear to be. Very disappointed.

I was excited to get the classic carmen, but unfortunately I got the same one I order before (treasures of knowledge). NOT what I wanted.

The disk came of the package with a giant crack in it. The case was broken. Even without the giant crack the disc was so scratched it probably wouldnt work. I wouldnt even give it one star since it literally is useless

Arrived on time and packaged great. Unfortunately, it didn't matter what computer we tried this on it wouldn't work. Sad I loved that game as a child and my nephew was really looking forward to playing it after I talked it up like I did. No Christmas fun for him.

"On account of there ain't no zeros, I give you a one."I hope the software technogeeks had a good time designing this monster, because neither I nor my grandchildren (ages 8 and 12) had any fun trying to make it go. It is not very interactive: one has to spend a lot of time listening to the characters recite their lines with no ability for the user to click out. And the subject matter the characters talk about is often rather uninteresting as well.The real killer, though, is that the clues for catching the criminals are so sketchy that we could not follow them. The software developers were so absorbed with their technical abilities to make a slick and cool format for this latest edition they forgot this is a children's program. They took a great educational game that kids really enjoyed and destroyed it.I wish I had not spent my money on this software.

I was so excited to find Carmen after so many years! I would sit and play for hours when I was in elementary and middle school. For some reason...I'm just not that excited about this new CD-ROM version. If you get stuck you end up going in circles trying to find a way out and you get clues that lead you right back to another dead end. It is probably a fantastic version for those who don't remember the Carmen I remember.

I could not get this to work on my Windows XP 2007 dell computer. I had to return it and was really bummed about it.

Everything was great, except it was not the game I was expecting. When they specified it as the "classic" game, I was expecting the original Carmen San Diego, where you yourself are an unnamed Detective. Not the new, disappointing version. Great service, a day late in delivery, good price, and great product. If it was the one I wanted.
