Rage - Xbox 360

I love this game. It was a lot of fun to play. I played through it four times. I have always enjoy ID software games, I played a lot of doom growing up. I read a lot of reviews on RAGE and whether or not it was good. A lot of people complained about the game. I know the story was not very good, but it is ID software their games usually do not have very good stories anyways. This game is also beautiful and I still play through an older CRT TV. The game play is great I had no issues with the controls at all. The enemies have different ways of attacking you which gives a different element. The side missions are fun and so are the multiplayer legends of the wasteland. The game was on the shorter side, but with all of the races and side missions it felt like a good amount of time for a game. The races are a lot of fun also, although the can be very challenging. It is very cheap now, so see for yourself but I think that you will not be disappointed!

Rage is a very good game however there are a couple draw backs. first off when I initally got this game I had played almost all the id games so i pretty much knew what to expect. Best FPS action in the industry, easter eggs galore, amazing graphics and atmosphere, bare bones story at best. All of the company's games follow this model and rage is no diffrent. Please dont buy this thinking your getting a fallout deep story RPG kind of game becuase you will not like it I promise. Those who like mindless killing and gore (sounds bad i know) will love this and in a way its a love letter to old school FPS games. Of course it has regenerating health because games cant seem to avoid it these days sadly (even halo). The game sort of just ends abruptly but its still quite long ( I would say 12-25 hours depending on if you do all the extra side quests, races mini games, hidden sewers and track down the cool easter eggs). my biggest complaint is that I was expecting better boss fights, you know like mega hitler kind of stuff. All and all i had a very fun time with this game and decieded to write a review in my excitment for doom 4 also i recomend the schorchers DLC for Rage because its cheap and lets you go back after the end and 100% the game without starting over plus adds ultra nightmare.

This isn't gonna be a long review because it doesn't need to be. While Rage's narrative is a tad derivative, its characters have a sort of endearing uniqueness that's rarely seen in the gaming medium and that's helped along by jaw-dropping visuals that look like they're from the next generation of consoles. Everything from the character models to the guns to the environments to the brutal fatalities of enemies looks (and sounds) incredible. Of course, that doesn't matter if the gameplay isn't there to support it. Rage's gunplay can be summed up by one word: perfect. The controls are tight and responsive and enemies respond to every bullet that's unloaded into them, resulting in a deeply satisfying shooting experience that is further enhanced by ingenious enemy AI that vaults off of the environment, jumping, ducking and sprinting between cover and using grenades and group tactics to outmaneuver and flank you, the player. The guns, while generic at first glance, are all painstakingly re-imagined for Rage's immersive post-apocalyptic world. The driving is expertly-crafted as well, with some insanely well done driving controls and epic, high-stakes vehicular combat.If you're a fan of shooters, get Rage. If you're a fan of RPGs, get Rage. If you're a fan of action games, get Rage. If you're a fan of amazing games and have the courage to step out of your comfort zone and try out a new IP this busy Fall season, get Rage. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed.

All right, so there are some important things to discuss. Let's go.1. The graphics, animation, audio, performance, etc are all jaw-dropping. Check some of the other reviews to read more about what people think. I give it 5 stars. It has to be seen to be believed, period.2. It's ID software, not Bethesda. It's not a free-roaming open world, nor did ID say it was such. It blends in quests and allows you to pick, so you can explore sections of the world in a directed manner. It's a big change for ID and much better than the lead-you-by-the-nose of most FPS games. It has some RPG elements, but it's not an RPG. You can get upgrades for your gear and vehicles, some of which can alter the "stats" of your character or vehicle, but there is no progression, abilities, perks, or other special powers. The ability to collect engineering schematics and construct everything from turrets to bandages to friggin' weapons is very cool. Scavenging and buying raw materials is a lot of fun when you can actually use them.3. There are no checkpoints. Don't cry, it's okay. Do you know why? Because you can save it whenever, wherever you want. Thank the gods for that! Checkpoints are silly. Games that require you to reach a checkpoint to save are silly. Save it whenever you want, it's easy. Oh and it autosaves when you enter a new area, like a big enemy base or something. Isn't that nifty?4. I hate vehicles and vehicle combat, but I'm not put off by these elements in Rage. The vehicles are easy to control and the vehicle combat is break-neck fast with plenty of visceral action--and you get money for blowing up enemies. That helps, a lot. There are a good amount of upgrades and vehicle types, so it keeps this element fresh.5. The comparisons to Fallout & Borderlands are understandable but silly. ID was working on this before those two games were released. Anyway, it's a totally different game in a similar setting. We wouldn't say that Need for Speed and Gran Turismo were the same game, would we? I would hope not. Rage is a balls-to-the-wall action shooter with a breath of player choice thrown in the mix. The action is center-stage; all the other neat elements augment the action.6. The controls are tight, simple, and perfectly suited to the game. You can assign items to the d-pad, activate them with the LB, and change as needed; weapons are assigned to 4 slots as well, which can be toggled quickly by tapping RB or you can bring up a selection menu with weapons and ammo types by holding RB. It's so simply a monkey could do it (like me, for example).7. If you want rinse-repeat military action, you know where to go; if you want free-roaming RPG, you know what to buy (read: Skyrim, 11/11); if you want some pulse-pounding action in an eye-popping world full of character and things to do, grab RAGE.--END TRANSMISSION--

This is a great game even in 2019 I owned it once before but never fully played through it and then sold it I'm happy I bought it again and finally finished the story I know it got a lot of hate when it first came out for the ending but if you play this and then play the second one the ending isn't so bad since they worked it into the second games intro really well. but on the topic of the second game that's a whole nother review for now I'll just say this game is far better in almost every way which is weird to say.Now on the side of Amazon shipping and everything that was also great I'm pretty sure I bought this from a third-party seller not 100% sure but either way it arrived fast and in good condition

It is an awesome game, very beautiful. But I found it somewhat repetitive for me.The missions were cool, guns are awesome,but I didnt manage to get into it as much as some poeple.Still a great game, cant disappoint if you get it for cheap, only cost me 1 cent plus 3.95$ shipping.
