I usually don’t write product reviews but this deserves one. Ive installed crown without this jig and this jig makes it as easy as absolutely possible. There is no guessing on bevels or struggling to hold your piece to the fence. For the price it’s a no brainer even if you have a short run to make. Costs less than a carpenter if anything. Takes a cut or 2 to get used to. Made a project that used to take me 3/4 of a day to do into about 2 hours. I used it on large kitchen with alot of crown with multiple inside and outside miters. Don’t think about it. Just buy this you’ll be thankful even if you’re a seasoned pro.

Easy to set up. Good instructions. Some more difficult to adjust the spring angle than it should be as the bed does not move smoothly but seems to have detents.

This thing is great. I did my first crown molding job and decided to buy this hoping it would make it easier. It did. Couple things to note 1 the reference labels are very handy, letting you know which way to adjust the miter and which side to be on with the tool. However. You must remember when it says the left side corner for example, that’s not the left side of the molding you’re putting up. It’s the left side of the corner itself. This is very important. So whenever you read the stickers or hear that, put the left or right side of the molding out of your head and think from the perspective of the corner itself. A corner has a left and a right side and that’s how you should think about it. 2. Exercise caution while using this because you’re molding will be elevated off the base of your miter saw. Meaning you’re cutting a piece of wood off the end of your molding and once the cut completes it drops. I could be doing something wrong here, but I had three kickbacks from pieces of wood that dropped down and the blade caught it and chucked it back at me. This thing does the job and the flexibility of the spring angle is great.

Oct 2022 Pros: meant for use by DIY’ers, not professionals. inexpensive, lightweight, adjustable spring rate. Stickers on front make cutting a no-brainer. Does help improve accuracy of crown molding cuts and makes crown molding projects easier. Cons: Text & numbers on the plastic is very difficult to read. Flimsy plastic. Holds crown about an inch or two off the base of the miter saw. This leads to the cut-off pieces falling, bouncing around and into the spinning saw blade. On my very first cut, had a piece shoot-out so fast it almost broke a window. After having this happen multiple times in a single day, I sopped using it out of fear. I’m genuinely surprised Kreg put their name on this and still sells it. They usually have such great quality products - which this is not. I would not recommend this product. Check out the Rockler Crown Cut instead.

With this tool it is so easy to make crown moldings. I have another set of tools for this but wow this put them to shame. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this tool...Another great product..
