I have used this model microwave from Magic Chef since 2018 when I bought a hew house and the microwave was left, intentionally in the pantry. 5 years later, I moved again. We bought the exact same model for our new house and it’s fantastic. All controls are easy to use. It cooks so well and never burns. Only 900 watts, but it really gets the job done. Compact enough for the counter but powerful enough for any job. I won’t use any other microwave at home.

Read the reviews on Amazon before making a decision. So many were more expensive and had negative reviews. Reviews are right about this little counter size microwave. Works great, good looking and costs much less. Definitely recommend this product.

We got the Magic Chief Microwave on time, actually sooner than we expected. It is smaller than our previous microwave, but it is exact size that we use. It fit exactly and little, bigger than big plate. The power is really good. You need to put a mat or sheet under it when you open the microwave which does not slide back. Overall is very reliable microwave. I hope it last for several years like my last on. I would recommend buying one.

I am mostly satisfied with this Microwave, being that I paid under $100. for it, I was willing to accept some of the minor issues with it, such as the microwave sliding on the counter when you press the buttons. That can be fixed with some cheap rubber supporters connecting the 4 legs. Also, as I have read from others, I don't see a way to set an exact amount of cooking time such as 15 or 20 seconds The preset is all in increments of 30 seconds and the digit screen for the number of minutes. I can deal with that. If I want something to cook for only 10-20 seconds such as a muffin, I will just stand there for that very brief amount of time and stop it automatically. The cooking time is quite accurate for most frozen foods.

It is very difficult to find a microwave with 900W that fits into small spaces, particularly if depth is a problem since it is only 14 inches deep and it does not have a handle that protrudes from the front, as many units do. This one looks great (stainless front), is easy to use and works well. One warning, however, is that it is not designed for prolonged constant use. My last one overheated and stopped working when I tried to warm up several consecutive dishes for thanksgiving. For ordinary every day use, it works great though.

The first time I purchased this microwave it lasted over 12 years of daily use so I thought I’d buy the same model again. Big mistake. I could tell from the underside and back that the interior components had changed in an apparent redesign of the original model.The quality has dropped substantially over the years to the point that it’s not worth purchasing. After six months the paint on the inside started to peel off revealing bare metal. Then after 22 months it suddenly stopped working. That’s an 84% shorter life span. It looks like the original long lasting model but don’t be fooled. This is not a good product.

This microwave fits nicely in an appliance "garage" in the corner of our kitchen countertop. It is small enough not to overwhelm the counter. At the same time, it has sufficient size to hold our dinner plates (10.5" diam. with room to spare) and power to boil cold water in 3 minutes. We like the one-button push start for 30 sec., 1 min, 2 min, etc. cooking. We like the streamlined face with the push-button door opener rather than a handle that would jut out farther. Very satisfied with its "curb appeal", ease of use, and performance.

The microwave is used about once a day between me and my roommates.'When I was originally shopping for microwaves I wanted a 1000W unit but since the location I have for my microwave is not very large I wasn't left with many options to choose from. This 900W unit has a compact design and I haven't noticed the slight decrease in power from my previous 1000W unit. So far it has been a good no frills microwave.
