This was the first book that really moved me as an adult. I’ve revisited it now, more than a decade later, and it still has me in tears. The writing is raw, funny, and often lyrical. The story is impossibly real. Amazing book.

One of the best love stories I've read. Quick powerful read.

Really well written. I liked how honest it was and how it didnt shy away from the ugliness of addiction.

If you are a drug user - or a retired one - this book might be a trigger - the writing is SO intensely real. I’ve never done hard drugs - but I almost feel as if I have experienced both the highs AND the lows. This book is sad = but hopeful. And so very real. I AM a retired drinker - and I recognize many of the traits of addiction. God help you if you are in the throes of addiction - and God bless you if you have escaped.

Great book! Great story!

Intense insight in to the world of addiction. Some parts so raw they were hard to read yet I couldn't put it down. Luke Davies is an amazing writer, poet, surviver! The movie is one of my favourites and having only discovered the book some time after watching it has only solidified my love for this tale. 10/10, will read again.

Un très bon livre, bien écrit et qui fait vivre l'histoire d'un junky tout au long de sa perdition.L'analyse est pointue, les mots à leur place, bref un bon moment dans un univers qu'on préfère découvrir à travers une lecture.Je recommande sans hésitation à ceux qui aimes les livres bien écrit, vivant et les aventures humaines.

such a beautifully tragic love story I loved every second of this book and read it in a few days, I had so many emotions throughout it has some crazy truths and it's so crazy to see the other side of a junkies life. it makes you think
