nice skates
We ordered 2 large adult pairs and 1 pair of these junior size skates. They are exactly the same as the adult ones, with few exceptions- adult pair has brakes on only one foot, but the kids pair has a set on each foot. The other difference is the nuts stick out on the adult wheels a bit. A problem if, like me, your child wants to skate inside on the wood floor. If the foot is laid down on its side, the wheel nuts can scratch up and dent the floor. The center of the wheels on the kids size skates lays nicely flat! Won't be a wood floor problem with the junior skates :)We are very happy with both the adult and the junior skorpion skates. Very well made product.

Take a pass on Skorpies.
Bought two pairs for grandkids, ages 6 and 9, who said they were very heavy. The skates sat by front door, lonely and unused. Cute, but difficult to skate in, like having wagons on your feet. Glad my son and I ultimately did not get ourselves a pair.

Almost Perfect
We purchased these for our 5 year old son who wears a size 13. I wanted him to have a pair of skates that 1. he could easily learn to skate in, 2. adjustable to allow growing room, and 3. high quality so they won't need replacing too soon. I also thought thought the brake was in the front of the skate. It is not. Personally, I think it is counter- intuitive to put your foot out in front of you when you need to stop, so thats why I chose to go with a four wheel skate instead of inline skates. I mistakenly thought it was "standard" for four wheel skates to have the brake in the front. Apparently, its not, because these have the brake designed at the rear. The skates seem to be made very well. I love the material the wheels are made of. They seem to create a smooth ride.As for delivery, there was a complication in shipping (they forgot to ship it) so it arrived AFTER Christmas. That was dissappointing but the customer service was great, they rectified the order, apologized profusely and sent me a complementary skate carry bag.My son doesn't really use the skates because he is scared of putting his foot out in front of him to stop. The great thing is that the skates are adjustable so, he may grow more confident as he gets older and his skorpies will accomodate his foot size.
