Petmate Bottom's Up Hind-Leg Mobility Support Harness Leash
Well, it does help lift my 100 pound German Shepherd with degenerative myelopathy, but I have to put it as far back as possible which intereferes with his ability to urinate. I use the harness to help him get outside; then I have to pull it off quickly so he can go. Maybe it would work with a female dog, but I'm going to try the Bottoms Up harness which is also available here on Amazon Petmate Bottom's Up Hind-Leg Mobility Support Harness Leash , Red . It also comes in pink and black which I didn't realize at first, so I got the red one. I watched several YouTube videos about it, and I think it would work.

Nice product, but definitely designed for larger dogs
Purchased this for a friend who was fostering a golden retriever puppy that suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia and cannot walk without assistance. It turns out this was a little too large for him right now, but will fit him as he grows. The products itself seems very well made and, with some modifications to make it fit, is very helpful for keeping him balanced so he can walk without falling over. It's a huge help for his human caretakers that were breaking their backs trying to keep him upright!

Don't rely on the picture
The picture shows that it fits a Dutch Shepherd, and one of the reviews claims it fits a Golden Retriever. I don't see how that is possible. It barely fits around my fit 60lb Rhodesian Ridgeback. This is more catered towards medium slender dogs in my opinion. The other issue is the design makes the harsh side of the Velcro exposed against the dog which I imagine is uncomfortable, and can get tangled in their hair.

Help a girl out.
Easy on, easy off. It makes helping my 85 lb. girl into the truck a breeze. She only has to get her front feet up and I lift her rear. I have less fear of injury as she ages and her rear quarters become more unstable.

Does not fit all dogs up to 90 lbs.
This product was rated to fit dogs as large as 90 lbs. My German Shepherd mix is 80 lbs and the harness barely fits around him. He's pretty lean, but is has a stocky build. Before buying I would recommend measuring the girth to make sure it is compatible with the size of this harness. ASIN:B00URZPBPC Select Companion Dog Lift Harness]]

Good for Post-Surgery Lifting
This was a huge help post-surgery after my 55-pound boxer had ACL surgery, but wish it was configured a bit differently -- wider to cover more of the dog's chest, and also wish the Velcro was more secure and durable. It kept coming undone and she'd slip back/forth as we were trying to lift her. However, I just say overall it was a smart purchase and we made good use out of it.

Great for thin dogs
Has great velcro that has held up well to multiple uses with heavy dogs. The handles are a good length for average height person if you are like 5 foot they are to long. All of the stitching is holding up well. Only down fall we have had is that it is designed for thin dogs. If you have a dog with a very large chest it will not fit around.

Glad I made the purchase
My 8 yr Cavalier had hip dysplasia surgery years ago. She has alot of arthritis in her shoulders and now her back has been giving her immense pain. l had to come up with a way to help her go outside to potty and to get to her vet appt's. I found this harness on Amazon and so glad I did. It's such a help and my dog is much more confident that she isn't going to fall down, slip on the floors, and able to go up and down steps.
