This turned into a $5k paperweight

I have had this machine almost 2 years. Most of the 2 years it has been broken. Thread bunching up, timing not right. I sent it to factory and they replaced a lot of stuff on the machine and sent it back. It worked great for about 6 months and then it all started again. The lights on the machine blink, it won't pick up the thread or if it does, it skips stitches or doesn't sew at all. If you wave your hand at the back of the machine without touching it, the needle starts going up and down. Overall it won't sew at all. I've ruined a couple of quilts trying to get this thing working. There isn't a repair shop within 100 miles of us in fact not one in our state. I've emailed for help three times so far and they told me to see if the blue cord was bent. I checked all the cables, the threading of the machine, the encoders and that's all they suggested. I asked if it was still under warranty because I believe the computer is going out on the machine and no response. Supposed to have a five year warranty I thought. They don't want to respond to questions or help to fix any problems. The last time I had to call them for the timing, we did everything they said to do over a period of two weeks and I finally told them I would figure it out. I did finally figure out the timing issue by watching two videos several times and then I set the timing. Those videos don't tell you enough about anything to fix a problem and as I told them I am not a mechanic. The machine worked fine for about a month and then back to not sewing and blinking lights and skipped stiches. I would not recommend this machine or any qnique 21 machine to anyone. If you do buy one, verify there is a repair shop close or someone that can repair the machine. I am going to get rid of this useless machine. Buyer beware of the qnique machines.

The price is nice but doesn't seem to be a machine for beginners to long arms. I have found it nearly impossible to get the tension correct, it constantly skips stitches no matter what I do. I purchased the Grace frame with and the carriage wheels created "dips" in the plastic rails if it sets in one spot too long so there are a lot of jerks, the carriage keeps derailing. I have had the machine 9 months and am sure I need training but I some issues should be mechanical. Just very frustrated right now.

the machine has major problems with getting the tension set correctly. I've called and spoke with customer support they are as helpful as possible but the machine needs an overall. I have had mine over a year and every time I put in a quilt, I spend hours working in the thread tension.

Love this machine for quilting quilts quickly on my Grace frame.It is an awesome quilting machine, I can quilt little more than a 14 inch block, row by row. Its almost 15 inch neck is just right for my quilts. I absolutely Love this machine for quilting. No basting is the most wonderful asset of having a frame. And... you can't beat this price for a good quality machine.

I have had this machine for six months and have had to take to be serviced twice. The thread bunches or is too tight. I know its the tension but when I get the tension right it does not take long for the thread to start bunching again. I do not want a machine that is so delicate that it want do the work. I am looking to take back to the dealer or trade it in. Just be warned if you buy a Grace you will not get any help from the manufacturer. I have to drive 75 miles one way to get this serviced. TIRED OF THIS MACHINE!
