Zddp Maxx Zddp Oil Additive

I recently lost the engine in my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 at 112,000 miles because I did not know to use the Zddp additive. The problem is that not many people know zinc and phosphorous were removed from motor oil a few years ago and that engines with flat tappet cams need it. I also found that no one at the major auto parts stores (at least around here) was aware of it either. If you have a flat tappet cam engine, you need this.

This product is absolutely necessary for all pre 1980 vehicles with flat tappet camshafts. The modern oils do not have sufficient zinc in them to lubricate the engines in older vehicles properly. The modern oils are designed for roller camshaft which all newer vehicles have, however it would be wise to use this additive in modern vehicles as well, because it helps protect other moving parts besides just the camshaft.

This is a GREAT oil additive to use especially when oils changed a little for the newer emissions vehicles. I use this in all of my pre emissions trucks and feel so much better than with any other additive. The truck even seems to run much smoother with this vs other additives.

I had to use 2 bottles but it did quiet the noise valves.Please remember to rate the products you purchase. It really helps when buying something I have never used before.

I really don't know how much this will help preserve my 1959 t-bird motor, with a 352 cu.inch . But it cant hurt. Worth the money for the insurance.

Had a cam lobe go flat on an older car without roller lifters. Hope this works to prevent a repeat since they removed this additive from oils recently.
