Storm Max Pro Thumb Tape Fast- Teal

It works well. Stays put. Easy to use

This is a big improvement from Storms previous version. Tape is easy to apply and adjust if needed. I've bowled eight game tournaments and I never had to change it out for another piece. Great balance between staying on your thumb during your throw, but also easy to peel off when you're finished. They offer three levels of "release speed", with slow being more rough of a surface, medium being slightly smoother and fast being the smoothest. I find the fast one to be best for me since I have high rev rate and ball speed and like to get the ball off my thumb faster. They do offer a small pack of all three too, so you can find the one that works for you. I highly recommend using this tape to help keep a more consistent release through your set. I like putting mine halfway down my thumb nail. It also does a great job of protecting the outside of your thumb from rubbing on the ball overtime, thus preventing irritation. This tape is always in my accessory bag. Great price for the amount of tape you get too.

Love the thumb tape. Just be sure you order the right one. I originally ordered a Red that was marketed as “Fast” tape. When it arrived the tape was marked as “Slow” tape I had to send it back. The only “Fast” tape is the teal color. The only reason for the four stars instead of five is the fact it was mis-described on the website.

I've always had issues with my thumb blistering and tearing, even since I was a kid. After a 40 year hiatus from league bowling, I decided to get new equipment and join a league. I knew that my thumb wouldn't hold up in league as it tore a couple of times during open bowling/practice, usually in the 3rd game. Whether it's my delivery/release, my fit, or both, I couldn't take a chance, so I grabbed this thumb tape before league started, and have been able to bowl pain-free without a single blister or tear. I even bowled 6 games in one day without issue, during a Sunday unlimited bowling special.The tape sticks very well and, if applied correctly, doesn't come off your thumb until you want it to. As a note, the teal "fast release" tape is thin enough that it doesn't affect the fit of the thumb hole on my ball. I couldn't bowl without it. Highly recommended!

Tape holds up thru a night of league bowling. It gives me a consistent friction on my thumb week to week. Wish I would have started using it years ago.

This is the product I was looking for. My thumb would periodically swell, ez slide no longer worked and it was recommended by the pro shop. I had my ball drilled 2x with replacement inserts. This tape works well.

The colors of the thumb tape indicate how the bowling ball releases from your thumb.. The thumb tape either smoothly releases your thumb from the thumb plug or grips the thumb hole for better control. I hope I explained it to help..
