Awesome, first beard brush.
I researched way too much and took way too much time to pull the trigger on buying this. It’s awesome. I have a 3-4 inch relatively thick/straight Norwegian beard. It could be stiffer, but it works really well. I haven’t been able to find anything stiffer out there with the comfort of a military style handle. Most brushes are around the same price. This one works perfectly. Love the grooves on the sides for finger placement and grip.Feels like legit boar hairs, some fall out initially, but that’s to be expected with all brushes. Rinse it once a week, let it completely dry, it’ll last a really long time. I use this to apply my oil/balm every AM. ONLY USE ONCE PER DAY so you damage your hair. I don’t know the science, but it’s what every website and blog says.

If your face sucks like mine you need this brush man!
This brush has bolstered my meager attempt to grow facial hair. What my body lacks in testosterone is apparently made up by the rugged and sturdy construction of this brush. While my frontal visage may be more patch than 'stache this brush feels firm and bristly on my skin. While my beard may defy my attempts to have a beard it is helpless to resist being tamed by the bristles of this brush. I would highly recommend this brush to anyone aspiring to TRUE manhood (plus it comes in a fancy little box! SO CUTE).

although it may be recommended by some
Any natural bristle brush can/will lose 'hairs'. I have used them for decades and it's normal. The difference is in how and how many they lose.If an entire cavity loses the bristles, especially more than one, you most likely have cheap stuff. This brush has lost a hair or two on occasion, usually when I use a comb to clean it out fromthe built up beard hairs and dandruff [beardruff].I DO NOT wash my natural bristle brushes in water, although it may be recommended by some, just like I don't use stainless steel utensils on my non-stick cookware even though the mfg saysI can without harm. I brush it over the sink with my hand, rapidly, or I use a fine-toothed comb.I use this every day on my beard and my head. It's a great brush, good size, and fits well in the hand.

A must have for the beard grower, high quality and great value
Quality brush, perfect size. The bristles all seem to be genuine boar's hair; some fall out initially, but that stops after a few uses. The bristles are a little stiff for my taste, especially during the first few weeks of my Movember beard, though as my beard grew longer I realized that stiffness was key to being able to groom it properly. The brush still felt a little harsh on my mustache area even after a month, but on the rest of my face it felt great. Anytime my beard got roughed up I'd run this brush through and it would look and feel great within seconds, nice and tidy.Paired with a good beard oil, say goodbye to the "itchy beard" phase that most men can't get past. I myself had never made it past the 3 week mark, but with this brush and some beard oil I cruised to the 5 week mark no problem. I eventually got sick of my beard and shaved it off, but I'll grow my next beard with confidence because I have this great brush waiting in the wings.

Great Beard Brush
Great Beard Brush! This is my first beard brush so I don't have a way to compare it to any others. I just decided to start growing my facial hair and was looking for something to help get the hair under control. I ordered this brush and some Beard Oil to see if it would work. I read quite a few blogs and posts about taming your beard and this was the best option for me.When the brush arrived I was really surprised at the quality of it. The Bamboo handle and the boar hair bristles seemed to be great! I had to try this brush out right away and after a few passes over my beard, things seemed to lay down and get under control. My wife even was impressed. My only gripe with this brush and the reason I held off on giving it 5 stars was that the bristles are coming out. I don't mean that they are all falling out at the same time, but that ever so often after I brush, I find a loose bristle on my face. I don't know if this is because it is a natural product or that my beard is to thick, but its a bit concerning for the long haul. Until then however, I plan on using this brush daily.

Perfect for beard AND my long hair!
I originally bought this for my husband to use on his manly lumberjack beard that needed a tiny bit of taming. Along with a little coconut oil, it works GREAT!-- SO SMOOTH AND SEXY!... also, it softens his thick mustache and beard hair JUST enough to tickle less when we kiss. Don't worry guys-- it still appears manly and thick. ;) Anyways, I tried this brush on my long, thick hair when the hubby wasn't looking, and WOW! Frizz?-- gone! My hair looked way smoother (it's normally wavy and can get frizzy easily in this humid Virginia heat). I bought a second brush for me! So, this isn't just for beards! It's the perfect size to put in my purse, too!

Works very well. Smooths out beard very well and perfect for grooming. Bristles are soft. Fits perfectly in your hand.
Bought this for my husband. It was the alternative to buying the much more expensive brush from beardbrand.com. Very happy with my purchase. My husband's beard looks very groomed and even feels smoother. It's not big at all(nor should it be since it's only for facial hair). About 4-5 inches long and about 2 inches wide so as to fit perfectly in your hand. Bristles are about a half inch long(brush your beard so nicely and clean any crumbs, lint, etc off your beard very well) and feel softer than expected. Overall, a smart buy....in my husband's opinion.

Nice
This is the first beard brush I've tried. It's nice. Feels good to brush my beard, so I do it every time I pass by it. My beard definitely looks neater after brushing, and maybe feels a little better too. I'm not experiencing the miraculous softening that some people promised would occur after brushing with a 100% boar bristle brush, but then I wasn't expecting to. My beard is very coarse (some hairs are a full millimeter wide) so I don't think anything will ever make it bunny-soft.Considering getting a bigger one for my head hair. This brush does make my sideburns much softer and better-looking.
