Plastic but thats about all you can find now. Worked great. The original was metal so plastic is a big concern that was proven this winter. When attempting to remove the fuel tank connection the nipple broke off even with the body (do not remove when cold- like 28 degrees) Used the internal parts to rebuild the original. Working fine now.

Review after 30 mins of use. So far, no leaks. Pump working great. Will update if issues arise. At the moment I would totally buy this again.3 hour update: still good

That it would pump gas.
The first one wouldn't pump gas at idle and the second one wouldn't pump gas at all. But gotta say Amazon was very good at refunding the cost and sent me the second one for free. So fixed the leak in the old one and back in business. But will be ordering another one from another seller just in case the old one gives up the ghost again. Priced one at O'Reilly's auto parts and it was $38 and some change and yeah, I didn't buy it. The old one was sold by Briggs & Stratton, been on there for a bunch of years. Update as of July, bought an electric fuel pump, works great, the old original pump gave up the ghost.... Update, HIPA also charged for both pumps even though I sent the first one back. And that's one of the nice things about Amazon Prime, they got my back.
