Passionate, tender, romantic, gritty, just has all the feels for me!
Passionate, tender, romantic, gritty, just has all the feels for me! Sizzling and meaningful connection that will tug at your heart. Two really great men who find each other unexpectedly and follow that attraction through to friendship and love. Chase and Jackson find that they can be each other's rock. Their passion and love bind them closely and together they can create a future. This book has a significant character that is impacted by alcoholism and addiction. I think that the impacts are dealt with well Also the painful reality that addicts only get help when they are ready to accept it. My heart broke for all the people touched by this disease in this story. One of my favorite quotes from this book is " I wanted to love him hard enough that the whole world around us would melt away, taking our worries and our hang-ups with it."Hope you enjoy this book as much as i did!

No real struggle in their lives. Everything was just too easy. The issues they had should have had more impact in my opinion but they were done fast. Naive writing or what? Did not enjoy this plot

Has it all
What's not to like. You have a hunky firefighter, a bartender/aspiring actor, a back sliding recovering alcoholic mother, and a meddlesome boss. It's realistic because children of alcoholic parents grow up parenting their parent and feel responsible for their care. Also people speak before engaging brain in a emotional setting Chase and Jackson have a lot to work through with all the outside forces. Jason Collins is becoming one of my auto checks.

All the feels!
Chase and Jackson’s story gave me all the feels I love experiencing when reading a romance. It wasn’t all hearts and flowers in the beginning though, as the road started out rocky. I loved Chase right from the get go with his caring attitude but it took me longer to warm up to the outwardly more stoic and reserved Jackson. These two very different people were brought together under circumstances that had them ‘Chasing Heat’ and left me fanning myself when it got hot. The story is well written and the cast of supporting characters brought depth to the plot that made this more than just a love story which is why I’m giving Chasing Heat 5 stars!

Lovely story.
Serendipity. Being in the right place at the right time, the circumstances unusual but not important in the scheme of things.Jackson and Chase were perfect together. Sheila, Jackson's mother, was in some ways, a binding catalyst to their growing connection. Reading about her decades long addiction to alcohol and how it affected sweet Jackson's life was frustrating as well as sad. This was a sweet love story. Hard times were overcome and our boys found their happiness. Even, Sheila!

Jackson and Chase
4.75 stars. Loving Jason Collins' writing style. Jackson's a great guy with an alcoholic mom that he's still trying to save. Chase is funny, sweet and vivacious. These two heat up the sheet though! There are a few little wobbles as they build their relationship that are overcome fairly easily. They both realize that together they have something special and are willing to work through anything to keep it. I was super impressed when Jackson didn't hide his dinner invite but wanted Chase there with him. Super sweet ending.Adult read

Jackson & Chase
Chase is trying to make a smash on the acting scene, but seems to find himself in difficult situations. He meets the hot firefighter, Jackson, during one such situation. Jackson had a difficult childhood and is attempting to help his alcoholic mother in his recovery. So much is happening, but Jackson finds himself attracted to the enigmatic Chase.

Chasing Heat by Jason Collins,
Oh, this author is BRILLIANT. Being Gay can't be easy, and yet he infuses such humor. Chase had me howling with laughter when he tried to mix a cocktail right at the beginning of the book. I knew then that I was going to love this character and the story line. Was not disappointed at all. Jackson impressed me - from being 'straight' but no time to socialize, to embracing his 'Gay' side when he met Chase. A perfect read, especially if you are down in the dumps and need up-lifting, such a laugh. LOVED IT....

Sweet & romantic slice of happiness
Chasing Heat is such a lovely, sweet romance where there isn't any OTT drama or flail level angst and for that I'm thankful. Sometimes you just want a sweet read where the characters know their own minds and work together to get their slice of happiness.

Very enjoyable chase
Chase and Jackson meet after Chase accidentally starts a fire. Jackson runs hot & cold and makes a mess of things with Chase after reacting poorly to an incident and blaming Chase. Watching them work through their issues and fall in love is heartwarming.
