The media could not be loaded.  In the setting where I work, I communicate primarily with patients who do not speak English. Even though I can speak Mandarin and Cantonese, I sometimes rely on Google Translate to help me with words/phrases that are not very common so that I can communicate with my patients. It's a hassle, especially when I want to translate something right away. I have seen a bunch of Facebook ads for translators when they first came out, and I finally just bit the bullet and bought one for myself when I had to work with Spanish, Vietnamese, and Thai native speakers.What drew me to this translator was that it came with a screen. It's basically like a small phone where the touchscreen is pretty receptive to touch. So the translator has around 83 languages loaded onto the device, allowing for 2-way translating conversation. You can use all the languages when connected to Wi-Fi, but if you're not able to access Wi-Fi, you'll only have access to the downloaded offline packages which consist of a select few languages. I'm hoping they'll expand their offline language in the near future. There's also a camera on the device, allowing for you to take photos of words you don't know so that the device will translate it for you. This feature is a little wonky though, and only worked in 70% of opportunities that I've tried. You can also prerecord phrases/sentences and use them when you're on the road!All those features advertised do come with the device; however, there are little kinks I had to work out once I got the translator. The device works pretty fast when connected to Wi-Fi (and Wi-Fi only connects to 2.4 Ghz), but when you go off-line, the translating becomes a little spotty and connections do time out. You also have a bit of a lag time to wait for the speaker to verbalize what you want to say. The charging is also a little strange. I plug it in for quite some time, yet the battery only increases 20% or so. I'll have to monitor the battery charging and provide an update. The MAC address also consistently changes every time I reboot. I think it's still undergoing some updates, so the device will sometimes restart randomly.This isn't the cheapest device out there, but I've been using it for a week and I feel like I am not only using it as a translating tool, but also using it as a way for me to pick up on another language! Some of my patients have looked at me, baffled, when I try to use it. Some of the languages say the translation super quickly; and my patients don't always have the most on-point pronunciation, so the device won't always pick up on every word. But this is primarily for me to use to communicate what I need to say - and so far it is doing the job 100%. Even with the battery at under 50%, that charge will last me the entire day.I have been using primarily Cantonese and Mandarin, both of which I have found to be very accurate and reliable. And Cantonese is NOT an easy language to translate. I've also tried Spanish, which is pretty accurate as well. Tagalog is a little more of a literal translation, but it does the job.The device itself is very light and slim, about the length of a standard pen. Easy to use and quite straight-forward. I also like that it's in color! I can easily see myself taking this with me when I go traveling. I love that the translation pops up immediately on the screen, making it much easier to communicate. Hopefully this will help others as much as it's helped me!Now that I've had the translator for awhile, it doesn't work as effortlessly as it used to. Sometimes it will say unable to connect to Wi-Fi, and I'll have to restart the device or toggle the settings until it works again.

I have not used this translator in a real life situation, but after getting it to actually work and its use was easy ONCE I git it to function with my hotspot, it seemed phenomenal. I hope that my future experience will be as useful. I must say that while the instructions were complete, they were a little confusing as some of the words and terms were also confusing, but reading through them a few times, I figured the system out. I absolutely love the word by word translation on the screen! My Ukraine friend will be able to use this to help her learn more English.

The media could not be loaded.  I've heard of these little portable translators before, but I've never tried one. This is a really cool device. As a frequent traveler, I do encounter some language barriers at some point. The amount of languages this device translates is huge (83 languages). It requires WiFi to work, but also supports offline translation as well, but you need to download the language package. The design is sleek and easy to carry, also very little and portable. Super easy to use with very accurate and fast translations! Works really great! It basically allows you to have a conversation with a foreigner. The perk is not having to use translation apps that sometimes are not practical. This is an awesome product for any traveller or want to learn a new language. You can always use this as your practice machine. Definitely recommend.

Tested with two-way translation from English into Russian. Translation from a paper document is frankly bad. Translation of a note in a journal is not possible at all - the text is not recognized (the last Forbes number was used). Everything is very slow. Working in translator mode is both slow and with large errors. Differences from a Google translator on a smartphone are for the worse. Conclusion - due to its low cost, it can be used to ask the simplest questions in exotic countries. Probably. If there is no working smartphone. P.S. The battery is completely discharged in three days, even when turned off.

I do a lot of work with Mandarin speakers. It is OK but doesn't provide that special insight I was looking for. I will keep it for shopping and sigthseeing where it will be very helpful

When is offline , the translator do not working.... could you please explain me why ? I read the instructions said is work when is offline .

it only came with 6 or 7 languages not the quantity you say, and where are the instructions?
