AMAZING! Def Not Just A "Cheap Controller"
I waited until I used this controller for a week before reviewing. I was ready to call it THE BEST PS4 CONTROLLER EVER MADE the first day...and it still is!! Battery life is INSANE!! Played over 12 hours straight one night, and it never once needed a charge, or informed me it needed it. The thumb sticks are way sturdier than the PS4 Dualshock, and they have more resistance. In fact I needed to adjust the controller sensitivity because turning left or right in Call Of Duty happened in a flash. I had the sensitivity at 10 when I used the Dualshock. I had to knock it down to a 3 to get the same results. Also it just fits your hands perfectly. And the rubber on the handles make for non-slip. Oh and the thumbsticks are a HAIR smaller in size, but they are also dimpled around the rim. That feature alone erased my need to use thumb grips. So while I was just looking for a back-up controller, or a controller to just give away as a prize on my Twitch Affiliate channel, this is NOW MY MAIN CONTROLLER!! And if that's not enough - this not only replaced my dualshocks, but it also replaced my Scuf Infinity controllers. YES! IT'S JUST THAT GOOD!!! USER EDIT: I have what some might call a tendency to "rage quit". That being said, I have bounced this controller off a hard wood floor - several times. It still works amazing. And when you shake it there isn't ANY noise like something came loose. A++++

Great controller, even better looks!
I like this controller a lot. Is it the best I've ever used? No. It definitely has some flaws, but overall, it has great ergonomics, fantastic build quality, and alluring design that makes me smile every time I see it.First, let's get my fanboying over with. This is such a beautiful controller! The clear plastic is somewhat frosted and gives a look that makes it blend in enough, but still shows the internals. I also am happy to report general use has not hurt or worn down this fantastic look.On the ergonomics side, it should be fine. The Dualshock has always been a controversial controller due to the decision of putting both thumbsticks next to each other on the bottom, and for people with unusual hand shapes, it can create problems. I have gotten used to this layout just fine, but I could see why some might have troubles with it. Try holding one yourself if you can if you have any reservations about this. Also, the touchpad looks big, but it's not as obtrusive as you'd think. It actually feels quite nice, being more than smooth enough to drag your finger across without any unpleasant feeling. The buttons, while somewhat shallow, have a great tactile feel more akin to a small arcade button. Finally, the shoulder buttons and triggers. The former seems to be fine, but many have issues with these triggers. The build quality is quite nice, with comfy plastics that were suitable for long gaming sessions that still managed to stand up to plenty of abuse. Nothing feels like it's going to fall out, and everything functions just as intended.

Two faults on arrival. Junk
Ok, first the good points. This is a good looking controller, comfortable to hold with a fairly good ‘feel’ to the controlsBUT it had two bad faults on arrival. Firstly, the left joystick did not work properly in the north west direction. It was fine forward and backward, left and right, but for some reason not in the ‘forward, left’ north west directionThat fault is forgivable as it could have been missed at the factoryBut the second fault was catastrophic and seems to show a total lack of quality controlI am a huge Warframe fan and the character you play has four special powers that are activated by the touchpad. Swipe forward for power 1, backward for 2, left for 3, right for 4. Without those powers the game is unplayableThe problem was that the touchpad did not work AT ALL which rendered the game, and, I am sure, many others, unplayablePeople are human and mistakes get made in factories in build and testing, which is understandableThe first fault could have been missed but the touchpad not working at all is a glaring error that should never have got through quality controlReturned for a refund

I've bought gaming accessories for most of my life, wether for me or eventually for my husband and kids. I'm such a name brand snob tho. Bc usually if you don't go name brand, you regret it almost immediately after using it for the first time. Also, now that I have 4 kids, things mysteriously break daily, sometimes hourly. My wallet can't keep up with replacement costs but it can't keep up with subpar replacements that dont last a month either. After reading about this brand I felt like I was part of a club that I didn't know existed and decided to take the chance esp bc I needed 2 so I'd basically get a BOGO deal when compared to the price of 2 PS brand controllers. My husband was like to die when I told him what I'd done. They arrived while I was out for the afternoon and of course my fam immediately started using them. I walked in to find that they not only worked great but that everyone thought they were more comfortable than the PS controllers they replaced. I was still concerned about battery life but that also turned out to exceed expectation. I know I'll still buy special edition PS controllers from time to time bc we are that kinna nerd fam but I'm officially a convert when it comes buying additional or replacement controllers. I'm happy bc it's more cost effective and the fam is happy bc everyone has working controllers - which happens to be an added bonus for me in regards to the irritation that non-working controller arguments cause.

Next time I’ll buy Original
Controller seems to not respond correctly. Not sure if there is any software update or anything. So far I am not a fan. I have charged it fully, it’s synced with my PS4 and the controls still have a delay when pushing buttons expecting moves to take place on the screen.

Pretty decent for the price
I'm using this for the occasional game on PC and I've found it's a pretty decent option if you're looking for a controller, does what you'd expect a controller to do at least. Getting it set up initially is a bit complicated on PC, and there's a definite lack of instruction from the seller on this point (as you've probably read in other reviews). For those of you who haven't figured it out: plug it in to your PC to start and let it download the appropriate drivers. Once that's done find the bluetooth settings in control panel (specifically "Change Bluetooth Settings") and tick the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" option under the 'Discovery' header. Now search for the "add a bluetooth device" setting. Once you do that unplug the controller and press and hold the 'share' and 'home' buttons on the controller until the light on the controller starts flashing like a strobe light. Once it's doing that it should be discoverable as a device under the name "Wireless Controller", then select it and connect. After this it *may* work right off the bat for you in whichever games, however if it doesn't you may need to look at the controller support options in steam *or* look up DS4Windows and make use of that application to help. After all that it should be functional on PC wirelessly. If you don't want to bother with all that it works just fine when plugged in without any of the additional hassle.

Update
The controller comes with a "free" gift. You fill out a ridiculous amount of information, you have to write a review and screen shot and paste it and then you have to take several surveys. To top it all off you never get the free controller that is promised. I'm not a gamer so I do not know a lot about these. I was able to pair it with my nvidia shield tv but was not able to pair it with my fire cube. I'll look into that at a later date. Feels good in the hands and feels sturdy, not cheap. My favorite part of the order was the little covers that go over the sticks. I'm a dog fanatic so the cute dog paws on these covers put a smile on my face.

cant even make it work on Windows 10
I am trying since yesterday to make this gamepad work, unfortunately its not working, way to complicated to get this thing to work, I should have read more reviews here before buying, install this, install that, etc. etc., I am expecting a device to work without having to download 100 of drivers and softwares, pressing home- and share button at the same time is not working either in order to register it, my device manager does not even recognize this `controller` not even to mention that wireless is absolutely not working, very unsatisfied, sending back, never will buy again and going next time with the original.
