Very worth the price. The clarinet came in a very nice case and everything was still wrapped in plastic.

The clarinet sounds amazing!
My daughter loves her new clarinet. She said that it sounds great and less nasally than her previous one. Her only complaint was the ligature as it would not stay on her clarinet so we replaced it with a leather one.

A really nice instrument
One expects Buffet Crampon to produce a fine instrument and, they came through this time. It's not the $5000,00 model, but it suits me. And, Eric is easy to do business with. I liked them so much that I bought an Eb clarinet from him as well. I'm quite pleased with both transactions.

Great product for a beginner
My son is a beginner and his teacher recommended this one after 3 months of lessons with a plastic rental. My son says this one sounds so much better in the tone and really loves it.

Not worth the price
This price is ridiculous considering this instrument's overall qualities. Total waste of 1grand; if you are someone that is serious about playing the clarinet and you are somewhere between intermediate and professional, I'd advise you to look into other stores, because honestly, playing this straight out of the box is a disappointment. One would think that after some proper preparation and playing with the clarinet for a few hours would improve the clarity, but it is still difficult to keep consistent air flowing whilst getting a good sound out without being completely out of breath after playing just 6 notes! If you are a beginner there is no reason you should be spending this much on an instrument that can be closely compared to a $90-$300 clarinet. You are better off playing on something cheap because you can grow on something that is at least doable and comforting after practicing for a reasonable amount of time. I personally was just expecting a little more out of the brand. The E12 (Buffet Crampon) Clarinet is what I was first considering to purchase and seeing that the prices are $300 off (the E12 & E11), I'm guessing the results will end up being fairly similar anyway. So, spending $1.5K on an instrument for a quality rating of 1/5 really isn't worth the time, energy, and money. Keep shopping around and best of luck to those to continue browsing for a clarinet with far greater value (aside from just design & looks).
