auto unlock works; avoid warehouse though
we bought this for the auto unlock feature. we find it works 99% of the time. my wife recently had trouble, but she simply did not have it activated in her app on her phone. the install was ok, although we had to do the slightly complicated step of enlarging our door hole.we had bought two on amazon warehouse to save money, and they both were missing significant and important parts which made it impossible to install.in researching locks--not one lock has absolutely every feature we wish. this one doesn't have a key fob button my kids can press to unlock the door. but once they get taller, they can enter a code. but auto-unlock--esp as i carry heavy packages up the stairs to our apartment--was key. and that works great with this lock.

Junk
This lock is Junk! I have tried to get a functional lock 3 times. The first time the wifi module wouldn't register, the next lock was a motor issue, the last lock wouldn't lock (but it would open. Yale offered to send me another broken lock to see if that worked. No thanks 3 weeks without a lock! Don't buy !

Works great with reliable wifi
I love this product and have purchased 3 of them so far. They need wifi and won't work so well if your wifi if flakey. However if you have good wifi they are very reliable.

No issues
I waited a few months before writing a review to test it out fully. It had been about 6 months and I haven't had any issues(other than maybe having to recalibrate the lock once in the app). We love it as we can make sure the door is shut and locked while away, get alerts when it is unlocked, provide temporary or permanent codes to people, etc. Has all the functions I could ask for and would definitely recommend this lock.

Be weary of purchasing used from Amazon
While this is one of the best wifi locks available when it works, I am giving this two stars because of my unsatisfactory experience with Amazon.I purchased this used, listed in good condition, for what I thought was a very good price. Upon receiving the lock I observed that its battery compartment was melted such that it was not possible to put batteries in it to power or test it. I called Amazon and explained this. They gave me the option to either return it or to receive a $60 refund to put towards having it fixed locally. I explained that because it was not possible to power on, I was not sure if it was otherwise functional and asked if it would be possible to receive a larger discount if it turned out to need other repairs. I was assured that I would "be taken care of at that point" or something to that effect. So far, so good.At this point I made the mistake of accepting the refund and having my local locksmith repair the lock's battery compartment for $65. At this point we powered the lock on and discovered that the bolt would not actuate. The locksmith said he could fix the lock the following week, so I agreed to that. I called Amazon and explained what had happened. After the agent put me on hold for a couple minutes to speak with their manager, they informed me that they would not grant any additional refund to cover the cost of the second repair, but that I could return the lock for a refund of $60 less than the purchase price, meaning I would have to eat the entire cost of the repair.I went ahead with getting the lock fixed locally. It ended up costing $76 for the second repair. All in all I spent a little more money on a used lock than I would have had I purchased it new, and a whole lot more time. The lock is still working well today, months later, so I'm thankful for that. I just suggest sticking with other sites for used items, as this was only one of a few occasions in the past year I've received used items from Amazon that should have never passed inspection due to being defective, the wrong item, or even a box filled with trash in one instance.Your used item quality control is slipping, Amazon! You can do better!

Solid end product and easy phone-based setup, poor quality control
This model was recommended to me, and LPL indicated no obvious bypasses (very strong praise from LPL). Unfortunately, first two deadbolts were defective (per Yale support). The third installed and setup smoothly. Solid construction, quality weather seals, and respected brand make this overall a winner.TLDR:Use the keypad only for master code. Then, use the Yale Access app on your phone to setup the lock, add access codes, setup notifications, etc. Trying to do any configuration via the keypad is ... painful.Quality Control:I had to cycle through three units to find one that worked. The first one's refused to allow setup of a master code, even after hard-reset. The second one failed to calibrate properly, resulting in an extra seven "clicks" (motor over-ratcheting) on every unlock (locking was fine). Besides the annoying sound, this also would drain battery. The third unit works.Physical Setup:Physical setup is only slightly more involved than changing out any other deadbolt, but still quite simple, requiring only a philips head screwdriver. The instructions for this part are exemplary.Configuration:For the CBA version with WiFi, the lock is actually bluetooth, and the little white box is a hub that bridges the bluetooth communications over WiFi. Using the Yale Access app on an iPhone, the setup process was surprisingly smooth. Note that Yale Access does require setting up an account with Yale.Overall:The lock features are exactly what we were looking for: Simple to add temporary access codes, ability to alert if the door is left open, automatic locking, logging when the door is locked / unlocked and by whom, etc. Because the lock itself uses bluetooth (CBA version), battery life is expected to be excellent (vs. WiFi being directly in the lock). If I ignore the first two defective units, this seems like a great lock.
