This is a shoe.
This is just a shoe. It protects your feet from the elements, and the design is timeless. Some shoes are too much, man. This is the perfect amount of shoe. Light, durable, and inexpensive- just a great everyday shoe.It does not impede the foot like many sports-shoes. The sole is flexible, and it doesn't turn your foot into an immovable brick like a lot of athletic shoes. That said, it doesn't provide much padding or shock absorption. If you are buying this, you probably already know about this shoe and this review is pointless.Great shoe.

red high top fits narrow and craftsmanship sucks
ok this did not fit as expected at all. the shoe has a bunch of imperfections compared to the last pair I bought. Pic for comparison, the black shoe is a converse all star low top, same size/width according to label, but the red one (the one I bought in this review) is visibly narrower, on the back of the shoe there is no size indication, the shoe boxes look different from my last pair (which are great but I wanted a high top pair)... anyways see the pictures for comparison. I mean, did they skimp on rubber or what :/also red pair is made in Indonesia and the low top one I got was made in India.

They're not white anymore, but I love them even more!
Bought these to paint on. You can use a razor blade to open up the middle of the rubber logo, then peel off the rubber to expose the canvas. This is my second pair of Chuck Taylors that I've given the post-impressionist treatment to. They last almost forever if you take care of them!

So cool and easy
Once I became a mom, I stopped liking to tie my shoes. I was always running late, and didn't want to bother. I know the style is to have all white kicks, but I tend toward the messy, so I prefer black. These are comfy, look cool. It's funny, this style has been around forever, but people still ask me how they stay on. They do run large, but that's how Converse are. I typically wear a 6.5-7 women's, and I got these in the men's 4.5. They fit fine. I typically wear them with ankle socks or peds. Since I tend to be messy, I clean the rubber white parts with a non-ammonia cleanser, and they hold up well.

Wrong product...not first time it happens...
So yeah... It's second time this bs happens with the same seller, about six months ago my sister orders the same LEATHER converse shoes... and surprise they mailed the Cotton Canvas versión, she lives in the States so she was able to return them before flying to Costa Rica to see me and that was the end of it...I really like the Black leather converse so I decided to give them a second chance (everyone makes mistakes right)...well after waiting about a month for my International shipping (thats not on them) Pay the heavy import tax... finally get the box...to my surprise, the mono cotton canvas again...I'm really upset because its not a matter of just "sending them back" from another country so its basically just wasted money...so yeah...would i recommend them? No.

They’re attractive shoes
I bought the wrong size at first because I forgot about men’s sizing differences. I gave those shoes to my mom and bought some more in the correct size. People say to size down a little and I didn’t. I can feel some wiggle room but it’s not really noticeable and I don’t think I would be able to get the shoes on if they were any smaller. Anyway these shoes are very cute and I don’t get why people wear the newer, weird looking converse slip-ons

Falling apart on day one!
Look great, but the quality of these have gone down hill. These shoes are falling apart after 6 hours of wearing them. Day 1 and they are starting to delaminate. I just got them yesterday. I have chucks from over 10 years ago that are still together. Today’s quality sucks. These should be $5 if they are going to last a few hours.

Skinny and long fit, little cushion, cool shoes
I wore Chuck's all through my childhood. They were terrible 25 years ago and are still to terrible shoes. As a kid I'd get 3 months before they started to fall apart and they offer very little cushion compared to any modern shoe. For the listed size they are long and skinny compared to a modern sneaker. Note that they have never been durable even when they were made in the USABut, they are awesome weight lifting shoes where that minimal cushion helps your form for deadlifts and squats. Also they are light weight and easy to pack in a bag. They are also retro cool looking. So buy them for style, buy them for weigh lifting, but don't buy them for comfort or durability.

good quality but not real converse
even though they seem good enough quality when i opened the box i knew instantly that they are not genuine as there is small differences between real converse and fake ones easily noticeable if you know the difference, Overall decent enough shoes but not worth the price tag of the same bracket as the real thing.

Chuck Taylor would be rolling in his grave, lasted 6-7 months before the sole came loss (twice!)
Ok, what happened to Converse when they were sold to Nike? I have bought two pairs in the last two years and they didn't even last more than 8 months each without the sole falling out, Now I need to buy glue. The colour fades fast and the show is not built to last. When these shows cost half as much in the 80s.90s I would wear a pair for 4 years plus.

Classic trainer and timeless
Having size 14 feet means I don't often buy footwear simply because I like them, I usually buy what fits and is affordable! However, with these Converse I have a pair of trainers that fit and that I actually like. They are comfortable, hard-wearing and keep my feet relatively cool in the summer (well, my previous pair did and these are more or less the same). Yes, they are a slightly narrow fit and not exactly a generous 14, but they are comfortable and don't need breaking in. As a student you see people walking round campus in these all weathers... don't! They can occasionally slip on wet surfaces and as they are canvas, eventually you'll have wet feet! These are perfect spring/summer/autumn trainers which look better and better with age. Don't trek about in snow and heavy rain though (believe me, people do!).One other unexpected bonus with my old pair is how lightweight they are. I had a bicycle accident last year and my trainers (which were the low style, not boot)were easily taken off and carried round the hospital and then put back on with an immobilised leg. If they had been Timberland or Doc Martens I would have been struggling with the weight!Great trainers and a timeless classic.

Great fit and comfortable
Really happy with this purchase as they are a great fit and super padding on the sole. I've tried other similar shoes but always found them a little hard on the sole (you can feel every stone beneath your feet) Converse are generally more expensive, but you get what you pay for here.

Perfect
Bought for my daughter and she loves them. Was initially disappointed about to order as the delivery timescale was quoted as a month but they came much much quicker than that.
