Le Petit Nicolas Et Les Copains (French Edition)

My French instructor had us read from this book in class. It's a great book for a beginning/intermediate learner of the French language!It's really a collection of short stories about a boy, Nicolas, and his friends. The adventures they have, the everyday things they do that they somehow turn into "not so ordinary" instances. It's charmingly cute and hilarious. All told from Nicolas' point of view and memory, as if he's retelling you his day.

It's guaranteed the entire series of "Petit Nicolas" can bring you all the joy / laughters / tears (joyful one) + a total satisfaction. You never have enough after reading and always want to read it again and again. Try the original French version for it's using the "easy understanding" child French. Vive "Petit Nicolas"! J'adore Goscinny Sempe!!!

Having recently moved to France from the UK I bought this book to help my children learn French. That was the idea. And I'm sure they will like the stories - when they get to see them - because for the moment I am working my way through the book. It is a delightful read, easy vocabulary for a beginning French speaker, and the humour keeps you interested. The book is in the form of a series of self-contained stories told by Nicolas about the group of friends (les copains), each of whom has his own characteristic foibles. I say "his" because being boys of that age they don't like girls, and in one story the rest of the friends are horrified that Nicolas invites his female neighbour for gouter! The humour is also subtle enough in many places that adults will see things that children miss, but the observations of life are very accurate indeed. There were four other books in the series written by Goscinny, and I think they will have to be next on the reading list.

I spent the past year learning French and found this book at a local bookstore. It is HYSTERICAL! It has made learning and maintaining French truly an enjoyable experience. There is so much wonderful humor in this book. I am excited to learn there are more in the series. The situations are funny, nothing is too precious, the kids seem to act like real kids and those poor adults...! I wish I could find an English version to send to my nephew. This is great reading and if you disagree, je vous donnerai une claque!

This book was purchased for my daughter’s French AP class in high school which content wise is good. But the spine of the book is very weak and many of the pages come loose so she has to ensure the pages all stay in the book so she doesn’t lose them.

I too found this book at a (used) bookstore and immediately fell in love with the characters, however oblivious they are of the trouble they cause. And the french is definitely navigable by even the lowest-level speakers!

Edouard Baer est un excellent lecteur; et les textes sont évidemment tendres et amusants!

J'ai acheté le livre audio (CD) pour ma fille de 6 ans. Honnetement c'est du vrai bonheur! Edouard Baer est vraiment exceptionnel. J'adore...et ma fille aussi ;) Je le recommande pleinement.

Acheté pour mon fils de 9 ans : il l'écoute partout : dans sa chambre, dans la voiture. Les histoires sont toujours tellement drôles et extrêmement bien lues. On l'écoute en famille. Je recommande.

On adore ! Le meilleur des cd histoires du pt nicolas grâce au talent de edouard baer. Mes enfants sont fan.

grosse déception le cd est en MP3, et il ne fonctionne pas sur les lecteurs cd de type Ficher Price ou autres, impossible de le faire fonctionner si l'appareil n'est pas adapté. Pourquoi l'avoir mis en format MP3 ? On ne se retrouve avec un cd inutilisable...
