Outstanding Comfort ant a good price!
I know that comfort is subjective, but on my flat, size 14 feet, these Rockports are unequaled as a general use & walking shoe. They are also sturdy and look good. When these wear out, I hope this shoe will still be available. A great value for me.

Excellent Walkers
I've had a fair number of Rockport walkers over the years. All have been great shoes, comfortable, last a long time. My new pair (M7100 Prowalker) are very nice. Pretty comfortable as soon as I put them on, getting even better after a few days use. This particular color combination is not quite as dressy as my previous walkers, but still quite nice and easily could be used to go out to dinner, etc. I would have gotten these in black, but then there is a big "Rockport" name on the tonque. The inside liner is cloth which is very comfortable but it takes some effort to slip over socks (cloth rubbing cloth). Overall excellent shoes.

Superb tennis shoes
Got these for my dad, as he wanted exactly what he had bought like 35 years ago. And well, they still make it. He was and is thrilled to have brand new shoes of the same caliber to his antique ones. He still teaches tennis at 89 and these are his new special shoes just for when he is at the court. So, tennis coach approved.

Incredible walking shoes
They are a good value especially considering that they are leather. Took a while to break in, which is why only 4 stars. Very stiff out of the box, but definitely improved a lot after a few days of use. Comfortable for walking on pavement and ok to use all day long. Very nice quality. I expect to be using these for a long time to come. After using for a few months, I've come back and changed my rating. 5 stars!!!!! These are great for city walking. Love them. I have many kinds of sneakers, and these are far and away the best for walking on hard city pavement. I love the feel of the soles. Just incredible. Highly recommended!

The box they came in would be more comfortable
These are terrible. Absolutely the worst footwear I've ever put on in my 40 years of wearing shoes.I genuinely can not understand the other reviewers that say "just need a little breaking in" because these are literally MORE stiff than the corrugated cardboard box they shipped in, and within 2 steps you can tell that IF/ WHEN they "break in" it's going to be not a nice, smooth, gradual wearing down to flexibility and comfort, but a catastrophic BREAK somewhere around the toes - like violently snapping a pizza box in half to force it into a too-small trash can.And while I try not to be TOO judgy about appearances, these are such a sad, depressing, SICKLY off-white that it's actually upsetting. They do NOT match their photos here - there's a far more jaundiced, yellow look to them in person; like they spent 40 years in mothballs at a retirement center slowly yellowing with neglect and disappointment. They even *smell* like an underfunded retirement home, one across the street from a tire-store.Literally the only good thing I can say about them is that the soles seem very sturdy - thick, solid, probably last ages. NOT cushy, comfortable or nice for walking on - I'd rather take my chances with the brown paper used to fill out the shipping box, shoved inside that same box, than walk any distance in these things. I genuinely think there's a 50/50 chance of getting a similar level of blisters wearing these as going barefoot. All hyperbole aside, I was so upset when I tried these on I literally THREW them off my feet after less than 30 seconds of putting them on.

Ok casual shoes.
The shoes are OK I guess. Quality is good except for the insoles it came with. It's paper thin in the toes so it felt like I was walking barefoot....on concrete. I purchased new insoles and they feel better now. I definitely can't sneak in these. The shoes make a kind of hollow clacking sound. Not the click-clack of dress shoes, but more hollow sounding if that makes sense. The laces aren't bad. The tongue is a little short like other reviewers were saying, but it doesn't bother me too much. They're a little tighter in the toe area than I'd like.It looks dressy enough to wear to church, but these are walking shoes. I can run in these if I have to, but get ready to hear me coming especially on a wood floor or thin carpet on wood. I do like the ease of getting into them. Will post an update once I break into them some more with the new insoles.
