I bought this to use processing freeze dried baby foods and dried herbs for teas. I Have fine sieves, and needed courser choices to retain more texture. This is stainless steel, gives me three great course sizes, well made, super easy to use, and I can process a Lot of food quickly! I'm loving it!

I have a small patch of dirt that’s mixed with pebbles. I’ve been working with it for a couple years for growing vegetables. It just got annoying with my shovel hitting rocks. I bought this sifter and it works great! I used the fine mesh and now my dirt is cleaner. I tilled in some good soil and now my garden is looking good. Recommended for a small area since this is only about 12”.

Well made, strong and quality material so far no rusting, the problem I have is the two largest screens are the same size so it really as if you are only getting 2 screens instead of 3. I didn't return it because it was needed immediately. But people need to know that there is no difference in the size of two of them, if their is.... it is not noticeable so instead of buying this I should have bought a two screen even though I wanted/needed three sizes.

This is an awesome sifter for the price! Great tool for sifting bonsai soil or fossil finding at the shore. If you do order them keep in mind it will be a while before you get it as they are a direct shipment from Japan.UPDATE: Just bought my 3rd sifter. I use mainly the fine grate when my son and I go fossil hunting for shark teeth. Seems like the brackish water will rust out the screen, so make sure you rinse your screens out if you use them in brackish or salt water and dry them afterwards.

I’m very pleased with this sieve. It arrived very quickly from Japan - within 10 days and wrapped very securely. Works great. I sort out different sizes of pumice to add to soil for succulents. My opinion is that this set is not for heavy duty use, but is sturdy enough for my purposes. The wire mesh looks like its crimped securely into place by the outer rim. (I’m careful to not bend the different grids when exchanging sizes.)

I got this for bonsai, but I have a section in my yard that is dirt mixed with gravel. I had the idea to separate the gravel from the dirt and sort it by size for different garden projects. This sieve stood up to the job well. The inserts fit snug and are pretty tough. The frame is the same diameter as a standard plastic five gallon bucket, though I do wish there was a little lip around the bottom so it would fit into the bucket. But it definitely holds up well to heavy use.

Granted these are outside under a covered patio, but after normal use the screens are already rusting. The screens are not stainless steel. Overall I like the fact that it has the three different screens so you can filter various sizes, but after using it for a while I think I would’ve been better off with some thing else that doesn’t rust.

I've had this over two months and still like new. I use it to get large chunks out of my potting soil and keep it outside. So far no rust or dents on the screens or the body. Oh yeah, three different size screens included. All work very well.

Ce tamis correspond tout à fait à mes attentes.Les trois grilles prennent leur place sans jeu et l'ensemble parait assez solide pour du tamisage de terrain.L'ensemble est arrivé du Japon en 1 mois sans aucun problème, l'emballage était parfait.

I got this item to clean garden seeds I'm saving, and it is going to be perfect ! Broccoli seeds and everything smaller like celery drop out the smallest screen and dry beans fit through the largest one.. leaving the stems and pods behind... I'm thrilled. It is as described: stainless, sturdy, a good 11 inch usable diameter, which seems very roomy in the hand, and the rim is almost 3 inches deep, so I can see stacking up the different sizes for larger and smaller intercepts at the same time. Because it is made for dirt sifting it will probably take some rolling and scuffing across the screens without being damaged, so I'm looking forward to years of use.
