Spring too strong
Very hard to open the door. No spring adjustment. Tried everything moving arm to different locations to make it easier to open to no avail.Backcheck and closer speed were very good.

Works well, but needs hold open feature
Every door closer needs a hold open option!This one doesn't have one.Seems well made, and works well once was done swearing at the instructions.It is adjustable for different close and latch rates.Adjustment is too coarse, so hard to find tune speeds.Difficult to understand install instructions! I have some extra holes in my door and frame now :)Another reviewer said the instructions are wrong: that for standard right hand push we need to flip the unit around. This is wrong! The installation instructions are correct.Just follow them EXACTLY if you don't have the time to completely understand the geometry.
