This is a great stock. It’s shorter than the SpeedFeed stock that came on my 870 Police, but it can easily be made to be longer as well. It installs very easily. Glad I got it!

I bought this to replace an aging and battle scarred Rem 870 stock from an old Police shotgun. I bought the Magpul MOE forend as well so that they'd match. Removal of the old stock was very quick and easy and installation of this one was just as easy. It went on easily and quickly and matched up to the receiver perfectly. I bought the Magpul SGA Sling Swivel as well and it fits in perfectly.I'm very pleased with the feel of the stock and was able to size it so both my wife and I could operate it, she being shorter than myself. It feels very nice against the shoulder and places the receiver and iron sights in great alignment with my eyes. It seems it does so a little bit better (marginally better) than the original stock did. The butt pad on it is very pliable and I can see it helping reduce recoil significantly which is important for my wife's sake. An old Allen stock shell holder fit over it perfectly, too, giving me an extra 5 shells to hold. In addition I also installed a Tacstar side-saddle 6-shell holder, giving a total of 17 shells between those two and the extended magazine.This is a great product. I was a bit reluctant to buy it over the cheap alternatives available with Phoenix, UTG, etc., but I decided on this as it's purpose-built for the 870 and the recoil they give, the Magpul quality reputation, versatility of sling attachment positions, and length of pull adjustment. I was mostly concerned with adjustable stock selections from those mentioned above as I was concerned with their low price, perhaps they'd have low quality and the stock might collapse on itself with hard recoil from shotgun slugs. Even if they did, some of them end up having a very awkward looking slant to the stocks if the forward end of the stock that joins up with the receiver doesn't have the proper angle on it. This one looks fantastic, and although I haven't taken it to the range yet, I have no doubt it will perform great as well.

For a very long time I felt that Magpul stuff was retardley over-priced and I resisted buying their accessories. I also had the impression that there stuff was douchey "tacticool" crap. It wasn't until I bought a bunch of 9mm magpul glock-clone magazines that I came to respect the quality of their stuff. Anyhoo, I now have both the stock and forend as well as the front and rear sling mount attachments on my Remington Police Magnum...and I kind of love their stuff.I am not a big guy, I don't have long arms or giant hands so what drew me to this stock was it's customizable length of pull. I bought it, slapped it on my shtf, zombie apocalypse, bear smiter. I put it it to the test and it's pretty damn great. In fact, I have never had a more comfortable shotgun setup as I do with this gear. And believe me, I've tried so many different brands, configurations, etc...with varying degrees of "meh"-ness. These upgrades are different. They are extremely well engineered and have improved the functionality of my firearm. And I'm not some brand-ho who just raves about whatever I own. If I buy something that sucks I send it back or it ends up in a reject drawer in my garage. I have a lot of crap in my reject drawer :(A firearm is a little like a prosthetic limb, there is no "one size fits all" solution. You just have to try this stuff out to see how it fits. And never compromise for "looks" or "tacticool-ness". If it doesn't improve your performance and/or your enjoyment of shooting...bin it :)So yeah...buy it.

Fit and easy install

I bought my Rem SGA Stock at a gun store. I was about to order from Amazon, but this was an impulse buy after seeing it. After installation, i was blown away. It has a feel and design like no other. This stock has the Magpul quality you'd expect, and a range of funtcionality that is hard to explain. It just feels good in your hands (and on your shouder). It comes with four 1/2" spacers to fit your needs in terms of lenth of pull. I just use one spacer and it is perfect. This fits all needs you might be looking for: HD, hunting, tactical and so on. I bought the Magpul Rear Rec single point sling mount for it, and that part is tough and works great (i'd order it along w/stock). You might look at all the right angles and different look this stock has, but when you mount this on you 870, it just looks and feels fantastic. You can also buy the Magpul/Remington adapter which will let you mount the Reminton Super Cell Butt Pad. This butt pad is extremly high quality, and absorbs tons of recoil (and it proudly say Remington on it). But the original Magpul buttpad that it comes with is also very recoil reducing, and has traction too. You can also replace the cheek riser with the optional higher or shorter cheekrisers (not included).Bottom line, this is one of the best stocks i've put on my 870. I highly recommend this stock to anyone, you won't be disappointed with this stock. Magpul does it again!

This is actually a nicely made stock and I am glad I put in on my gun. It shoulders nicely and feels good even though when I first looked at it I thought heck, did they put the thing on upside down? No, its on there just right, its just a little different but in a good way. The LOP adjustment is a nice touch but any more than 2 or maybe 3 spacers starts to look and feel goofy, but thats just me, if you like 4 spacers then by all means, slide all 4 on there and make it just right for yourself. I installed this stock together with the 870 MOE fore end and the result is just what I wanted in function and feel. I must admit, it looks pretty good too. Installation was easy and MagPul was kind enough to include installation tools along with instructions plus a sticker and a poster. Since installing these parts I have ran a few hundred rounds of bird shot, about fifty 00 buck and about fifty 1oz slugs. No issues whatsoever. Everything is still tight. Those slugs sure do get your attention though, but thats beside the point. This here is a good stock. I recommend it.
