The best practical upgrade I’ve made and probably the easiest!
Got this for our 2013 RAV4. Let me start out by saying I’m not the most mechanically inclined person. With that being said, it was possibly the easiest upgrade I’ve ever done. The kit included everything I needed including a tool to pry open the steering column cover and zip ties to secure everything.I would say this took me about 30 minutes from start to finish, including one mess up during programming and having to reprogram it. The video didn’t cover the programming, but the instructions weren’t too hard to follow… read them all the way through once or twice so you don’t mess up like I did.One thing I noticed is that one of the small plugs on the control box doesn’t clip in like the others do. I’m hoping that it stays in. I tried to tie everything up in a way that there wouldn’t be any pull or strain on that plug, but with tight quarters it’s hard to say. I still give it 5 stars and I recommend the product.I understand that the process and programming may differ depending on the vehicle you’re installing it in, but for the 2013 push-to-start RAV4, it was SUPER EASY and it works as advertised. Range seems satisfactory.Edit: still working great almost a year later, though we don’t use it frequently. Our car is garage parked. Super handy when we need it. Leave the seat heaters on and the seat will also be toasty warm!StartX - please make one for my 2008 Tacoma! The alternative brands don’t use the factory fob. That, to me, is a big selling point for the StartX brand.

May need to ask customer service to sent you a diagram (videos show key start, mine is keyless)
After watching videos of people installing these device on vehicles that had a key start, and seeing that my hardware did not match what they were installing, I thought that what I was sent was wrong, and even before trying to install, I reached out to support. I was told that my install would be much easier as I did not have to provide the power to the unit with a key setup (push button already has power going to it). They sent me a diagram, and it was much easier to install a keyless unit, just two places to plug it in (steering wheel, and near the floor driver side). The other attachment went into the unit that receives the signal from my understanding. Following the programing instruction was easy, had to re-due it once because only when the blue light flashes do you let go of the button, but in my case I let go when both the blue and red had flashed, I had to unplug the black wire and plug it back in and try again.Everything works, wife is very happy, plus the car is locked when it has started. When we would preheat the cars before the car would be unlocked. Very pleased and with the ease of install, I would recommend every try it before paying the other guys to charge you 3 arms and a leg.

Easy install in 2016 Corolla
Super easy installation in 2016 Toyota Corolla. This was much easier than installing an aftermarket radio, which I’ve done a few times. The video clearly showed where to plug everything in, and the included documentation gave step by step instructions on how to program the module, which worked perfectly the first time. I was glad to see that opening the door isn’t the only way to turn the car off. You can also turn it off by repeating the 3 presses of the lock button. Also good to know, opening the trunk does not stop the engine. This is clutch for me. I keep a snow brush in the trunk and can now clear my car while it’s running!

SUPER SICKKK!!!! Worth its weight in gold during peak seasons!
I am very experienced with working on cars and electronics in general so I may not be a typical person to base their experience off of BUTTTTTT let's give it a go anyway. I thought the instructions were super easy to follow, the video was most helpful only AFTER you're able to find it. I had to watch 3 or 4 videos until I came across one that most closely resembled my vehicle. But after that, it was a breeze. Nothing beats being able to warm up a freezing car or cool down scorching leather seats from the comfort of your own house.

Simple installation. Very happy I bought it!
People at work kept asking me why I don't get the remote on my 2017 Rav 4. Dealer price $300 to $500. I read the reviews and watched the installation video. Looks simple enough. I am really happy I purchased this. The installation for me took about an hour, I am not mechanically inclined. After hooking up the plug and go system I had the box left over the video didn't show where this went but the manual did. Use the zip ties when done, the unit won't stay up behind the dash. I had a more difficult time tying the unit up than with the installation. I am so happy that I bought this. It's for warming the car or cooling it down in the summer.

Great Convenience, Affordable, simple wiring but vague install instructions, no phone support
I was very excited to get this installed into my Push button Rav 4 today since it is over 100 degrees outside in Phoenix. When I opened the box and followed the instructions to go watch the install video I was disappointed to find a set of instructions for a highlander and a note saying that Toyota installs are very similar. Yes but while they are similar they are somewhat different as well. The Video was very short and went super fast leaving what was there, rather vague and when I got to the Part with the OBD install of the T harness, this is where things got really different and no longer went with the video. I was a previous 12v aftermarket accessory installer for 6 years so I knew my way around under there but If you are new or never did anything like this, then I wish you luck. You think that you could call the Manufacturer for support if needed but they only give you their email for support and the same on their website so you could possibly be mid-install with everything apart with a possible problem or question and be unsure if you were going to get the response you needed and when. Overall though I finally got it all in cleanly in under an hour and seems to work well and easily. As far as longevity, only time will tell especially in this harsh desert environment but seriously at this price over the hundreds wanted by the dealer installations, this is a great alternative if you are handy and a superior value if all goes well into the future.
