Ok, so the 1st heater we ordered never worked consistently. Basically, it would power up only after you unplugged it as it would otherwise stay dormant. Very frustrating to have to keep draining fish tank water out to add hot water to keep the fishes alive. (We have 13 clown loaches along with many other tropicals!) This replacement heater is working at the moment and most definitely will keep an eye out on its performance before breathing a sigh of relief. However, the new replacement does not fit snugly into the rubber sleeve and the suction cups do not stay on. I have had to reattach them already a few times. Oddly, the 1st heater’s suction cups worked great. At this point, it probably would’ve been better to buy the more expensive brands that were available instead. Update on this review now-the aquarium heater has died now after about 2 weeks of use! Total waste of time and money just like the 1st one that Amazon sent out. I think there is a possibility that these heaters are just poorly made and are not to be purchased if you don’t want to put your prized fish at great risk!

I had high hopes for this based on the reviews and discription, however as you can see my 300W with a described “US plug” it is not. Having to return and order from somewhere else. Disappointed as I need to treat my tank ASAP.EDIT: Their customer service is excellent. Even though I had to move on with purchasing a different heater, their quick response and offer to fix the issue was much appreciated. I can’t give all five stars because I still don’t know the quality of the product - but I will bump to three on sheer customer service.

For whatever reason, I am hard on fish tank heaters. This one is great so far. I love that the temperature can be adjusted. There is a cover for over the heater to help keep little fishes from getting burnt or shocked. The power cord is a bit short, especially for the drip safety loop.I especially like the digital thermometer. It is easy to see what the temperature is and helps me know my heater is still working. An awesome little addition.

This product is dangerous. The cord is way too short.Barely traces outside the tank if you position it on the bottom. There is no way to set s temperature. Only thing on the dial is + or -.The dial turns with great difficulty.They give you a separate thermometer.I placed it in cold water and it registered 77.9 F ???I bought two but must keep one until I get a replacement. I will only keep it on while I’m home to monitor it.I will just have to eat the $20.Biotech is a much better choice.

Product stop working a minute after it was installed. I could visibly see it working and then it made a popping sound and stopped working completely. I am cycling a new tank so this is a major set back for me. I did like the look and the cover but a product. Very disappointed.

This heater has been keeping my 36 gallon bowfront at a 77 degrees for a couple months now. I turned it up to 81 to get rid of some ick, and by the next day it was up to 81.3. I hope I don't jinx this, as it is hard to find a good 300w heater that is not very long.

Great heater! My sister and I accidentally burned the guard off by not having it fully submerged in the water before turning it on. That was a hot mess of a situation. The guard burned off of course, but the heater works great in my RES 36 gallon tank.

comes with UK plug and length of power cable is super short so even if you have an adapter cord isn't long enough to get to power strip. Very dissapointed and haven't been able to get them to give me refund.
