Great lens for the price!
First impression and first use:The quality feels pretty good, and it has nice weight to it which makes it feel not so cheap. The lens attaches to your existing lens, I am currently testing it on my 18-55mm kit lens. It widens up a shot greatly even if you are inches away from the subject, I think this will be good for scenic, landscape and real estate photography. You will have black borders if zoomed all the way out on your lens and vignetting is present. It's not until you zoom in to a certain extent that you get rid of the black borders and vignetting. So far I like it. For the price you're paying, I think this is a great product. I will be using it in different situations to see how it holds up and update this review later but right now I'm satisfied.

Inexpensive Add-on Lens
This is a very well made combination add-on lens. The wide angle does a good job and with a slight adjustment the vignetting disappears. The macro portion of the lens allows for nice clear close up photos of flowers and other small objects. It is inexpensive, and a good investment for anyone who wants to try a combination add-on lens.

Half way there
For the price (under $30) I didn't expect miracles...and I wasn't let down. I was equally intrigued by the purported wide-angle and macro capabilities, but it was the potential for some beefy frame-filling wall to wall shots in tight spaces, that tipped the scale enough for me to take the plunge. Unfortunately, that is also what happened to the sharpness and detail of photos captured on my canon t2i with the stock 18-55 is stm lens.I did notice the black ring around the edges as other reviewers have noted as well, when zoomed all the way out to 18mm, but I was able to gain about a total of 6" (inches) on all sides when I zoomed in enough to get rid of the black edges. Given the earlier caveat of loss in picture quality, the wide-angle portion of the lens, for my purposes, has not met the basic cost-benefit criteria. To be fair, the quality is not terrible and there may be some user error (ie. settings adjustments) involved in the diminished sharpness, but it head-to-head image capture with exactly the same settings (with and without the attachment) the degradation was noticeable. As for the macro portion of the lens, well- I was pleasantly surprised. Since I can't get nearly as close with my kit lens and I don't have a true macro lens, the image quality and clarity I get from this add-on is pretty decent and better than what I can get with what I currently have; given the aforementioned cost-benefit ratio, the macro seems like it will be fun to play with in the future and worth what I paid. Half the stars for half the function and an extra half star for build quality- this thing is built solid and would probably start a fire from the sun if I ever found myself stranded on a desert island. With my camera bag.

She is just getting into photography and this is a good way for her to play around with wide angle ...
This was a birthday present for my wife. She is just getting into photography and this is a good way for her to play around with wide angle and macro shots without dumping all the money into dedicated lenses. The wide angle works nicely with the 18 - 55mm, with the best shots at 24mm. We tried it with the 75-300mm lens with very mixed results. Its much more sensitive to movement on this lens. The macro portion works ok on the 75-300mm but again extreamly sensitive to movement. Best shots were again taken on the 18-55mm. On this lens with the Macro the auto focus still works reasonably well. All in all a good lens. I'd recommend it for any beginners.

Great product
This is a great lil product for the price. Since I am a beginner I like to try different lenses within the costs I can afford. It is a wonderful macro thats for sure! its solid, threads in well and takes great close close up shots.

Extensive Vignetting Renders Wide Angle Adapter Unusable
I bought two of these to extend the focal length of my Loreo 3D Lens in a Cap -- my principal reason for writing this review as there don't seem to be any reviewers submitting writing on these adapters' use in stereo photography. The photo results were unusable as virtually ALL of the extra focal length in the stereo pair was blurred by a vignette halo (resembling the Google Maps zoom when viewed through a Holmes viewer) surrounding a small, focused bullseye in the center of each pair. The adapter's threads are a stiff fit; I could hear metal on metal scraping as I screwed them on and off of the Loreo lens. Conversely, the macro adapter is acceptable and produces less distortion than the wide angle lens -- thus two stars as I really can't, in good faith, recommend this adapter for use in stereo photography.

it doesn't really add "more angle" to the frame to be useful. And it introduces shadows to the outer borders
I had to return it. Even for the low price, it doesn't really add "more angle" to the frame to be useful. And it introduces shadows to the outer borders. I wasn't expecting much, but this is useless.

Great buy
Works great. I use a camcorder to live stream church services. I needed a wider view to get the whole stage in the video. This lens does the job.
