Easy Install
There are better video's out there that explain and show how to install the starter. All in all easy install and works well in my 2016 Frontier.

Quite easy to install
I read a few reviews, watched the video several times and read the manual and honestly, this wasn't to difficult to install. If you ever installed a radio in your car you have the skill to do this install. Hope that gives you a reasonable comparison of the skill necessary to install this remote starter. It took me about 45 minutes to physically install the unit. It took me another 15 minutes to program it because I screwed up the programming. Don't make the same mistake I did. Step 8 in the install booklet says to WAIT for the rapidly flashing yellow LED. It can take MINUTES. I think it took maybe 2-3 minutes. BE PATIENT! In my case I failed to wait long enough. I just reset the unit to default according to the instruction manual and repeated the re-programming and it worked just fine the second time.Yes, you can probably install this without removing the lower dash cover but the lower dash panel is incredibly easy to remove on a 2017 Frontier. I can't help but think this would be the same for several model years before and after. It took me 3-5 minutes to remove the lower dash cover which made things way easier. Panel removal also exposes horizontal brackets on the left and right that allow you to cable tie the unit and dress the cables nicely (See pictures). The cover is secured by two screws easily located and removed (See pictures). One screw on the top left is hidden behind trim (See pictures). Start by pulling back the top of the driver’s kick panel (panel at your left foot in the driver’s position) just enough so the top of the kick panel clears the door gasket. Pull outward on the bottom end of strip/trim to release the clips that hold it and expose the screw securing the upper left corner of the lower dash panel. Remove the screw on bottom right of the panel next to the center console (See picture). The panel is now only being held by plastic tabs molded into the panel that are pressed into rectangular holes in the metal frame. These tabs are held in place by friction. Simply tug the panel straight out towards the seat to free it. Depress the clips holding the switches to that cover and popped them out except for the one on the right. I just unplugged that one and removed the entire panel. Seriously, I'd do this. It makes it WAY easier to reach and see what the heck you are doing! The connectors on the BCM (Whatever that means) are pretty hard to get to and have two clips at each end of the connectors. For the back one (Vertical) I had to again unplug the ignition plug so I could see what I was doing and used my right hand with a flat blade screw driver to push up on the connectors bottom clip while simultaneously depressing the top clip with the index finger of my left hand. It took a bit but I finally got it disconnected. This is by far the hardest connector to get at. The other one (Horizontal) was difficult but manageable to depress the clips with your left hand index finger and thumb and remove. Fortunately, I'm left handed! Good luck Righty's...NOTE: The vertical black connector that's the most difficult to get out has 2 rows of pins. A row of wide pins and a row of narrow ones. Just be aware of where they are (Orientation) when the plug is unplugged so the Tee cable/plug you will be installing from the kit into the BCM, can be plugged in with the correct orientation. Whatever you do, DO NOT force that connector into its slot. take your time! It should easily plug in smoothly once properly aligned.NOTE: Discovered by accident: Horn Beep during remote activation -To disable the horn beep when activating the remote starter, hold down both the lock & unlock buttons on the remote for about 3 seconds. The parking lights flash and the horn will be disabled. To re-enable the horn, repeat this process. The horn will beep indicating it is now re-enabled. Might come in handy for some. All in all GREAT PRODUCT!

Just buy it!
This remote start is awesome! Easy installation and works as stated. Now my truck will be cool inside when it is 100+ degrees outside. Definitely worth the money.

2013 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X must have!
Don't be scared away from other reviews saying this product was hard to install or the instructions too vague to follow. The Start-X was very easy to install thanks to very simple instructions and the programming module was just as easy to set up. The wiring harnesses and programming module took less than 45 minutes to set up with another 45 minutes to bundle all the wires and program module up under the dash. There is plenty of room under the dash to tuck everything up and out of the way. You just have to take your time as space is a little snug for your hands. Before jumping in to install the system, take your time familiarizing yourself with the connector points from the instruction booklet and the programming steps for setting up the starter program box. You'll be very satisfied with this install!

Good unit for a DIY'er
Pretty good unit for someone with a little DIY automotive experience. The instructions are not perfect, but there are plenty of instructions and write-ups online for these kits. Installation took about 30 min, including removing the lower dashboard panel, which I *highly* recommend as it only takes seconds to remove, but makes the job SO much easier.

If you want to add Auto-Start to your aging Frontier, this is the product.
The kit is complete, very well-made, and easy to install. My particular application was a 2009 Frontier SE 6 Cyl, fairly basic. This plug-and-play kit is pretty straightforward forward, with the most difficult aspect being the unclipping of plugs. You'll definitely want to remove the kick panel under the steering wheel, as others have mentioned. If you can follow instructions, you can install this kit. The instructions aren't great, but between the review comments and instructions, anyone can figure it out. Also, plugs only fit in a specific manner. As for programming, again, just follow the instructions. Worked perfectly, even adding two additional fobs.FYI, I have the trailer brake kit as well, and it was a simple integration with the supplied harness. Easy peasy and worth the cheesy.

Awesome product!
This is exactly what it says. The video that is shown with this is all I used hook everything up. Very easy to follow. Giving this 4 stars due to it claiming you don't have to remove any panels to install this. Now you could if you know exactly how to unplug every harness needed. I read one review that says to remove the front panel that is underneath the steering wheel. I started out by not doing this, but then ended up removing it. After I did it went SO MUCH EASIER AND FASTER. Most of the harnesses are easy to unplug. The large white one on the BCM was the most difficult. There is one tab you can not see that needs pressed to release. You can not see it if looking from underneath. If you remove the panel then you can access is so much better. The 2 harness on the BCM to unplug is a black one that takes a little finagling. Not bad though. All in all took me about 30 mins give or take to put together. Defiantly under and hour. Really liked that it came with zip ties to secure everything. If you remove the panel this will make it easier to secure all the wires and computer under your dash a lot easier. This all went into my 2017 Nissan Frontier. Another thing to add that I found; if you do not want the horn to beep when using this then hold down the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob at the same time until your parking lights flash. This will deactivate the horn for the lock function. Do it again to reactivate the horn. Hope all this helps.

Easy Install
Installed in a 2013 Xterra. It's awkward to get up under the steering wheel to install but is fairly simple. It works reliably and it's great to be able to use your stock key fob. One drawback to consider vs other starters is it will only work as far as your current lock/unlock works.

Great product
Easy to install. Plug and play. No special tools required to program. The unit learns the key frequency when doing own self program. Excellent product, especially given the price point

Works well! Installation instructions are not that clear though;
I youtubed a video on how to install this. The instructions are not in the right order; i'd go about disconnecting everything from the vehicle that you intend to tie into the t-harnesses prior to going about connecting everything, ESPECIALLY that BCM connector! But once all programmed this works great! Immobilizer works and starts up remotely every morning. There is something going around about airbag issue when opening passenger door first; I have had this for a month now and have not experienced this (and I regularly open the passenger side first to let my dog jump in). All in all, I installed this in about an Hour (would have been 15 minutes if I didn't spend 45 minutes trying to not break the BCM connector).

Works well.
I found the instructions useless. They do provide a link to a video that was OK. The starter works perfectly!
