Projekt - Kid's 12" Balance Training Bike No Pedal Bicycle for Children, Boys or Girls, Blue

My 4 year old absolutely loves this bike! He struggled with the concept the first day, but after some persistence he finally got it. Now he's zooming all over the place with his feet barely touching the ground and that was after only 1 week. I can see him skipping right over training wheels.Positives:Strong sturdy frameEasily adjustable seatTook about 15 minutes to put togetherNegatives:The bike did arrive with a small chip of paint missingHandle bars are not adjustableMy son is on the tall side for 4 and there's a good chance he'll grow out of this bike in less than 6 monthsThis bike has accomplished what no other bike or "vehicle" could. He can now balance! He can steer! (which is a big one). We love our purchase and only wish that we had gotten it for him sooner.

It looks like it will be a suitable balance bike for my grandson, assuming I can figure out how to assemble it and he can figure out how to use it... the only included instructions pertain to a fitting for the seat. Nothing at all on general assembly, no list of the parts I should have in the box, no pointers on how to guide the child in using it. Maybe these seem so obvious to them that instruction was deemed unnecessary? Not sure, just know I would have appreciated some instructions.

This is like the generic version of the Schwinn balance bike. I had bought the Schwinn balance bike about 9 months before I purchased this one. One for my son and then to ease the fighting this one for my daughter. It isn't as well built as the Schwinn and lacked helpful instructions. Once I got it together it did the same job as the Schwinn. Only glaring difference between the two would be the rubber bumpers on the ends of the handle bars, the Schwinn's held up much better than the Projekt version.Bottom line, if you can get this one far cheaper than the Schwinn, get it. If they are roughly the same price, get the Schwinn.
