I've refilled car a/c systems countless times using the cheap single-hose devices for 12 oz. cans. I finally decided to pick up a set to do everything... starting with a Robinair vacuum pump . For the gauges, I wasn't quite sure of which direction to go in. I looked into everything from $25 manifold sets to ones from Yellow Jacket that cost several hundreds of dollars. I went with this Mastercool set based on three reasons: reviews, the included case, and the fact that it includes everything I would need (many of the higher-priced sets seem to be missing a key component or two which needed to be purchased separately).I've used this set twice already and I'm extremely pleased with it. Flawless operation. The gauges and manifold are of exceptional quality. The valves open and close very smoothly and the hoses seal perfectly. Instructions are simple, yet effective.The end couplers attach securely to r134 systems... twisting and pulling them, they were on solid with no leaks. 90° bends allow them to get into even the tightest spaces. I originally wanted knobs on my couplers so that I could manually depress the a/c valves to further limit escaped gases and to reduce the chance of the couplers 'popping' off when being removed from the system, but these couples, as they are, work extremely well and disconnect with no issues at all.The case works well, with enough room to fit the manifold in without removing the hoses, however I would have preferred something with a separate storage area for accessories, so everything wasn't rattling around together which could possibly scratch the gauge faces. This is nitpicking, of course...My only complaint is on me... I wish I bought this years ago as it makes working with the a/c systems a breeze.

These gages are very well made, and accurate. What a great toll, for my recent vehicle AC overhaul. Also, nice that it comes with a well made case. I’m a very pleased customer.

Those of you who don't know, MasterCool is the manufacture for all 4 tool trucks A/C manifold sets....third of the price just without the tool truck logo! I got the 134A and 1234YF sets, they work beautifully as expected.

I like this a lot, very well made. Have only used it on a couple cars and none have had any serious issues. I am unsure what kind of can you're supposed to use with the included puncture thing though, so had to buy a can tap and adapter. The case is very nice addition, and it's all metal. Works very well, and is accurate (tested it compared to a digital one an ac specialist had). All metal, nice length on hoses, well constructed and easy to tell when the valves are open or closed.

very happy with item.. made in USA just that alone makes me feel better.. i only use this for my own small fleet of cars but prior to this i had gotten some from harbor freight (around $50) but laways had problem with the fittings for some reazon it was hard to attach to the car ...and to be honest i dont know how accurate they were.. but this seen to be on the money and for the price you can not beat it... also looks pretty similar to some "MAC" "MATCO" my friend has in his shop i later found out a lot of this big companys like mac matco snap on and so on.. buy this with their name on it..and chartge triple the price... anyways .. very happy it a great buy and work perfect...

Been in the field for a while, owned many sets from snap on, yellow jacket to el cheapo, work good, will do the job.

I know very little about AC servicing, so this was my introduction to it. Note that this same kit is sold as house brand by "The Big Name" tool companies, and the quality is indeed very high.It also included a number of adapters that I wouldn't have been able to connect to my older vehicle without, and that was a nice surprise.Gauges are large and easy to read, the block section appears to be billet aluminum. I believe the gauges have anti-flutter as well (check the specs to be sure, but they were very stable on mine).

Quick connect fittings would leak on some adaptors.. bought yellow jacket ones and it's good.. everything else is nice
