Better for the Environment, But...
I purchased these bags because they are biodegradable and I try to limit my footprint on the world. I am slightly disappointed in them though. They are not the most efficient in terms of fitting a tall kitchen trash can. They do fit initially, but once you start putting trash in it the bag falls into it once about half way full. The top of the bag needs to be shaped differently or be slightly longer or have a band that helps hold it up. I also have found that it holds much less than a normal bag. So although it is more Eco-friendly material, I end up using much more of it. I won't be purchasing them again because I need to have a bag that actually fits the can it is intended to fit, and unfortunately I have about 85 bags left until they are gone which I will end up using just so they don't go to waste.

perfect for my recycling
While there are concerns that these bags are slow in degrading, I am pleased to use them. My municipality requires that we put our recyclables in plastic bags. How absurd is that! I use these bags to contain my recyclables. They hold a lot and are sturdy--I keep them not too full so I can easily tie up the top. If they take three years to biodegrade--or however long they take, I think this makes more sense than a conventional plastic bag.

Very sturdy, but 1/3 shorter than my other 13 gallon bags without flaps
These bags are 1/3 shorter than my other 13 gallon bags without flaps, but the manufacturer made up for the lack of volume by using a very sturdy plastic, which sometimes makes it difficult to tear along the perforation and remove them from the roll, but has to date insured they don't burst when attempting to cram 13 gallons of trash into them and then tie them closed.

The brands like seventh generation or the ones they sell at whole ...
These are the only bags I found where the bag breaks down. The brands like seventh generation or the ones they sell at whole foods are made from recyclable material but don't compost. You have to read the boxes carefully- Some say the box is com-posable but not the bag. They are sturdy enough for just simple kitchen trash- we don't liquids in there but from what I can tell it doesn't leak .The only bag thing it's not that easy to tie closed if it's too full. It doesn't have those ties on the end like some of the other brands.

Great quality - got more bags than anticipated!
In an attempt to be more environmentally friendly, I decided to get away from using traditional plastic bags as much as humanly possible. I found these on Amazon and LOVE them. The box came with a LOT more bags than I thought it would, 3 entire rolls. I thought initially that I would get frustrated since there isn't a handle, but honestly, it doesn't really even bother me at all. I just make sure not to overfill these bags and then tie them off before taking garbage out.I really like these bags, and will 100% repurchase. I like that this company is developing environmentally friendly products.

A good, cheap, Eco friendly kitchen garbage bag.
This particular bag falls just a few inches short of reaching the bottom of our "tall" kitchen garbage can, BUT it gets the required job done. I'm a consumer that feels like it's ridiculous to "gift wrap" my kitchen garbage in expensive, draw string, high density garbage bags when walking the bag outdoors to a receptacle only yards from my kitchen door.

Prefer to Bio Bags for trash
As the owner of two disobedient dachshunds (who love getting into the trash), I take the trash out nearly every time I leave my apt.I was concerned about the amount of plastic I was consuming though. When I found theses trash bags, I figured I’d test them out.Well, they’re the best I’ve found. And they do breakdown after a certain amount of time (I tested this out). I like that they are sturdier than the Bio Bags because when you have to haul dirty cat liter to the trash room, you don’t want the bag breaking all over the hallway.Glad I found these!

Biodegradable plastic but quite thin
Really like they're biodegradable but really rather thin. You have to be careful not to stuff anything in them with sharp corners or anything too heavy. We use them in our recycle bin and usually have one or two tears from corners on the thin cardboard packaging (think cereal box). I'd say they're OK but could be better.
