I bought this mainly for the aesthetics. My tea setup is white and natural wood so this is a perfect match.I use it to keep water hot so I can brew tea with it away from the kitchen. It doesnt keep boiling water perfectly hot (near 100 c) but it keeps it steaming hot at least (over 80). I use it within 30 minutes so I cant say how long it works or how quickly it will lose temperature over time. I always make sure to preheat the carafe to minimize temperature loss from my tea water.An electric kettle is technically what I need for this purpose, but they look ugly and the stylish ones are really expensive. Used properly as a carafe, it will certainly keep liquids undrinkabley hot for a long time.

My carafe *is* cute as a button with its champagne pink shell and natural wood handle. The problem is that it doesn't actually keep my tea hot for more than about four hours. The 24-hour claim is a stretch by 6 times. 😕☹️

I purchased this for the coffee tray in my office. I brew 4 cups of coffee in my French press when I arrive in the morning. I don’t bother preheating the carafe with hot water before transferring the coffee from my press. I usually have two cups in the morning, one when I finish lunch, and one towards the end of work. The carafe keeps my coffee hot but not scalding with this method, which is what I prefer. I would imagine that it would be piping hot if preheated- but I cannot verified that as I don’t care to try.

Out of the box the connection between the handle and the carafe was sturdy - however on the FIRST wash it became loose. Every time I use this the handle wobbles, really frustrating.UPDATE: After about a month the handle fell off completely (extremely poor durability). A portable thermos would have been a better purchase in terms of visual asthetics and functional use.

It isn't super well made and doesn't seal as well as I had hoped. Coffee only stays warm for maybe 90 minutes, tops.
