Product description ------------------- Based on the popular TV series RUGRATS, this animated film, RUGRATS IN PARIS: THE MOVIE, features a group of zany toddlers who, by chance, get to travel to Paris. The film takes a playful path through the uncomplicated plotline, beginning with a perfectly choreographed spoof on THE GODHER (replete with a sawed-off toy horse head), then launching into a series of upbeat songs narrating the story in styles ranging from rock and reggae to jazz and R&B. The story follows little Chuckie, who wants his single her to remarry so he can get a new mommy. Teased by his bossy friend Angela, Chuckie feels even worse about his situation. But when the her of his pal Tommy gets assigned to go to Paris on business, taking the whole Rugrats gang with him, things begin to change. From the bateaux mouches to the Arc de Triomphe, the Rugrats enjoy some valuable seeing, then descend upon Euroreptarland, a theme park located in the center of Paris. Along the way, Chuckie thinks up a perfect scheme for getting a new mom. With fun music and fast-moving graphics balancing out the obligatory jokes about diapers, babies' butts, and poop, RUGRATS IN PARIS: THE MOVIE will thrill fans of these wild toddlers. .com ---- The second theatrical film from the popular television show is better than the original surprise hit. Instead of delving into their rich fantasy life, the Rugrats gang goes on a real adventure when their families visit Paris together. Mr. Pickles is brought over to fix his giant Reptar robot, the centerpiece of EuroReptarland (a biting version of the trouble-plagued EuroDisney). The underlying story has Chuckie (the one with the square glasses) looking for a new mommy, as his dad (who has a square personality) starts to fall for a villainous executive (voiced by Susan Sarandon). Soon Paris takes it on the chin as the diaper gang tries to save Chuckie's dad from the altar. The success of the Rugrats is in the writing, where much thought goes into finding comic gems for the adults (there are wonderful parodies of The Godher and King Kong that will sail over kids' heads). The garble-mouthed youngsters keep up their joyful ways in this 78-minute feature that feels no different from their Nickelodeon series except in length, some 3-D animation sequences, and an eclectic song score (with Cyndi Lauper's "I Want a Mom That Will Last Forever" the real catch).
