Not as strong as I thought it would be.

these are perfect for the dolce gusto machine and they are better value than the own brand. I'm not coffee expert so I can't comment on the richness of the taste etc, but it's perfect for me and comes really well packaged. its a monthly buy for me.

Nice, strong black coffee. One star off for the pods which have a bulbous top due to too much air trapped in pods. Requires a little more force to snap the lid of the machine down. No other brand has this issue.

The Amazon guidance suggests that a review contain what the product was used for in which case I will clarify that although tempting to create a nouveau art display, I went with liberal application of hot water utilising a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, and furthermore drinking the generated cocktail. Perhaps the artistic approach may have been plausible, however the online marketing falls short in such regard as the pods do not have the represented Donkey trademark printed individually as implied, hence my choice of drinking over an elaborate display. I deducted a mark from my review due to the lacking Donkey from the Donkey coffee, although this is unlikely to affect the coffee quality I can cannot confirm this as I have no control sample to work with, I’m sure you’ll appreciate. Regarding flavour and caffeine content, which I suspect may be the secondary reason to your stumbling to the reviews of a coffee pod (perhaps question the life choices that brought you to this point), the silver pod I found had somewhat little taste, not detestable or delectable, simply ground coffee from a pod. The golden pod produces a crema that left me wondering if I’d had a mental lapse and decided to lather the coffee in shaving foam rather than my stubbled face. Of course the red pod is what you want to know about, perhaps because red is a more enticing colour, but more probable, you are yearning to know how intense Intenso truly is. Having worked in an office environment for many years I am accustomed to drinking strong ground coffee in both an attempt to instil a semblance of sophistication and in vain attempt to remain awake whilst under the heavy bombardment of incomprehensible and sleep inducing twaddle spouted by colleagues on the subjects of finance, and more prevalently reality television. The red capsule I have to admit left my head a tad buzzing, perhaps I have been softened in my time of working from home and contracting out of avoiding people to governmental policy; regardless there is a full body resemblant of a merlot, albeit more socially accepted to be drunk for Elevenses whilst watching the soul destroying news bulletins. Personally my concluding opinion would be that although I believe the Starbucks varieties possess a more distinguished flavour, the cheaper price tag may make the Black Donkey a solid outsider bet at the Newbury 2:30, assuming the jokey is wearing only yellow and red.

Got these for my dad who loves strong coffee he had 3 of these trying them out and couldn’t sleep BUT continued to drink them 😂😂 was flying round them gardens putting fences up

Delicious coffee that is so packed with caffeine you have to approach it with caution... One cup wakes you up, two cups give you x-ray vision, three cups and you might end up in another dimension.

Tastes alright and decent value for money as they are cheaper than what you'd pay for the official pods in supermarkets. Wouldn't say it's extra strong though, some of the official pods are stronger than this. Would buy again though for value for money.Other reviews have mentioned the pods leaking but I've been fine so far. Used about 15 and no issues, although there's 45 left so I'll be on high alert.

It was more bitter than the genuine Intense Americano pods, it was ok after a few cups getting used to it.
