InstaBrain: The New Rules for Marketing to Generation Z

Insights into what makes GenZers tick
In this volume, the author, Sarah Weise, has provided readers with some remarkable and timely insights into the day-to-day world of today's GenZers. Particular focus has been on how these young adults receive and process, as well as disseminate, information in this increasingly digital world. Companies, and their marketing personnel in particular, will likely be well served by the very lucid presentation, delivered with a wry sense of humor, that peppers these information-filled pages. However, the potential importance of the author’s insights should extend well beyond her targeted marketing audience. For example, any politician sincerely interested in capturing the youth vote should clearly take note in formulating and presenting a candidate’s qualifications if that candidate’s qualifications for office would ever have a chance of taking a foothold with today’s youth. Moreover, in the opinion of this grandparent reviewer, all grandparents (and even many parents) with GenZ progeny will likely find many parts of this book to be invaluable for helping them to better understand and appreciate what drives this generation of young Americans. This book is highly recommended.

I now understand my little sister and my YouTube audience.
Best book on Gen Z period. The advanced reviews weren’t kidding when they gave InstaBrain a rave review. Understanding how Gen Z curates their content, feels social pressure, and moves through social media makes not just good sense for companies to understand; but parents, teachers and media agencies. Hands down recommend this book. Amazing

Worth the read
This book has some great content on Generation Z. However, the book could have been condensed given the fact the author seems to repeat the same findings and takeaways throughout. You find yourself reading almost verbatim later in the book what was said earlier in the book. Would still recommend this book for it's content, but be aware when you're expecting fresh ideas/takeaways during the later sections it will be a lot of repetition.

Understand Generation Z!!!
As a new entrepreneur in the hair industry, connection with all the generations are important to me. And Gen Z I had known nothing about! They are definitely not what I was expecting or assume. I am REALLY GLAD I read this book!! Love the authors takeaways, research, and suggestions for connecting with this age group. Highly recommend!! Quick read as well.

Enlightening read!
I loved this book! Thirty years ago when I started my business I placed an ad in the yellow pages of our local phone book. Things sure have changed, and Sarah’s book explained the changes in text even a geezer can understand. I especially enjoyed the interview process. For me a fun, educational read!

Don't recommend
Read the first 3 chapters and that's all you need to know. The rest of the book is the same information repeated over different examples and after 2020, I don't think these characteristics are valid anymore, so much has changed in the pandemic that half of what I read doesn't apply anymore.Pick another one

This Is The Future and Sarah Weise Gives a Detailed Look into Her Crystal Ball
I wish I had read a similar book on Millenials. This was a comprehensive look at the next generation. Generation Z will have an enormous impact on how we market and sell. This book should be required reading for all marketers and business majors. Good stuff!!!

The strategy and design implications are considerable.
Sarah's book is helping us establish our agency's design and strategy techniques for the Gen-Z audience, as well as defining a core section of our Generational Design methodology. We believe that understanding the behaviors, triggers, motivators, and preferred consumption methods for this demographic will be crucial to our business in the next few years.

A Step Into The GenZ’s Perspective
The author is one of the first I have read that captures the most recent generation of consumers’ priorities and narketing approach. While this account is mostly qualitative research based, and subject to huge error depending on individual variation there is a first very sincere attempt to be transparent about who these new people are.The author is very US focused, many of the insights would not cross, and even might not be as relevant in the US across income and regional variations.Overall I found the text useful and insightful.
