WiltonIcing Colours - 8 Colour Pack

bought these 2nd time after ive ran out. they last ages. colour butter cream well and fondant too. They are really good however I needed to buy another black to do a black fondant cake.

I bought these as one of my children dyes her own wool - it's perfect for use and so easy.

I bought this to make rainbow coloured cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party.This comes with 8 colour pots. I initially thought the pots were a bit on the small side meaning I would soon get through the colouring. Each pot is about the size of the old camera 35mm film canisters. As it was, I needed less than half a teaspoon for each batch of colour and that was enough to give very strong and bold colours.Adding the colouring to my baking did not make any discernable difference to the taste at all.For the casual baker, this set of colour gels will last for ages and ages due to the small amounts needed with each batch.I am very pleased with the purchase.

First time using anything other than super market food colouring, these are good quality and a little goes a long way. You must remember that these aren't the super super vibrant colours that you might get with say Americolor but they produce nice hues and mix well. I would say overall good value for an amateur baker that is getting a bit more adventurous. Wilton have some super helpful youtube tutorials that I highly recommend.

So easy to be able to buy a pack of colours rather than buying individual ones. I just mix the colours to get any variation I need. The red, as usual, needs more gel than other colours and I buy black sugarpaste, only using the black to tone down colours and for greys.Easy to use, reliable and I like just replacing them all in bulk rather than having to keep an eye on how many years I've had a particular colour kicking about.

These colours are exactly what you need to make a 5 layer rainbow cake. Very easy to use, You only need a tiny bit of the gel to add beautiful colour to your cake mix and frosting. I made a gorgeous gluten-free cake using the Wilton food colour gel pastes and it was a great success. They can be used over and over again - you don't need to pay lots of money to have someone else make your cake! I attach photo below, purple frosting doesn't show how bright the cake colours actually are.
