Works well. Easy to clean. Dog doesn't care for it, but then he doesn't like to be groomed!

We moved and I misplaced my cat's brush and comb. I have to admit I looked for it half-heartedly since she enjoys being brushed but didn't truly like the old brush and comb I had been using. My cat has medium long and quite thick fur which tends to develop "dreadlocks" if I don't keep up with her grooming. Again, I've been remiss. I kept "promising" her a new brush and finally after much reading of reviews decided on this one. No lie, when it arrived she watched me open the package and ran over to me when she realized it was her long awaited new brush. To say she purred loudly and rubbed her face on the brush repeatedly as I brushed her would be an understatement. She loves her new brush and so do I! In fact after a brushing and a nap while I typed up this review she's back for another brushing...that's amazing.First off, I have severe arthritis in my hands but holding the brush is effortless and pain-free thanks to rubber grips. It is lightweight and the handle is soft enough but not so flimsy that it bends unnecessarily while using (which would require more effort and a tighter grip) on my part. The button to click the bristles in or out is easy to use and works flawlessly when pressed for hair removal. Hair removal is a breeze. The bristles themselves are stiff and short but have little plastic/rubber ends so I don't worry about scratching her skin. They work great on her thick coat in removing surface hair and her dense undercoat but she didn't complain once. Being that my girl was overdue for a grooming I did get a great deal of hair off her including undercoat with just a few swipes, more than her old archaic brush ever did. I like that the bristles retract and won't be broken off while sitting in a drawer. Also, another nicety is that the brush comes in a plastic bag which I plan to store it in when not in use. Just a thoughtful extra.All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase. Grooming my dear kitty will be enjoyable for both of us now and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this brush. I am actually planning to purchase two more, one for my Frenchies and one for my nephew for his kitties. Thank you Ruff 'n Rufus. UPDATE: The nail clippers didn't stand up well, they bend the nail and dulled pretty quick. I noticed they didn't cut well after a day or two of use. The brush has been doing really well however the head does come out of the handle if I catch a snag in the coat. I am not sure if this is a feature of the brush or a flaw. I have a love/hate relationship with this as it keeps me from hurting the dog but does make it difficult to take out even small tangles. The comb is awesome. Very sturdy.Not a bad set for the price I paid. I bought these for work as a dog bather so I imagine they won't last as long for me as they would for a personal pet. The comb feels sturdy and like it will last me awhile. The nail clippers are smaller than I thought they would be but they should do great for small and most medium sized dogs. The nail clippers have a built in lock and a stopper to keep you from going too far while clipping the nail. If you don't like it, it is removable. The brush seems okay but after continuous use I think the soft bristles might get stuck under the self cleaning back. They do lock in an "out" position, you just have to press the button until you hear a click. Then press again to have the self cleaning back push up the hair and bring the bristles back into the brush. I'll update my review if anything breaks doesn't live up to expectations. I only paid $10, so again, the items are great for the price I paid. Normally it would cost me $10 just for one of the combs.

The media could not be loaded.  I went looking for a brush specifically like this to push the hair off easily. I came across this and for the same price as others, saw it also included a nail clipper, so was a no brainer to purchase.It came in a little grooming bag which I like to put all my grooming supplies in. I can fit another brush and spray in the bag along with a bandana.The nail clipper has a metal latch to keep close that is great, also a nail guard and cuts well. It is very comfortable to grip and has numbs.The brush works well, see video. If you don't want to push the button down, just push a little harder and it will click and lock into place, same to undo and release the hair with ease of removal which is what I was looking for.I own a dog boarding business and coming from a professional, I highly suggest this!

This animal hair brush works great. It combs out the shedding hair and is so easy to remove the loose hair from the brush. Great tool if your pet sheds and you need to brush it many times

The best brush for my Terrier she will let me brush her, all the other’s I have she struggles to get away
