Great product for a milk substitute
I can't have regular cow's milk so I was looking for milk substitutes. Bottom line, virtually all such products on the market like almond milk and even pre-blended cashew milk and coconut milk all have so much other stuff added to the mix like flavorings and preservatives and other additives. JOI cashew base is nothing but cashews. Period. It blends with water in thirty seconds and has a pleasing neutral taste that you can enhance with your own sugar and/or natural flavorings. I just drink it plain. You can adjust the consistency of the blend with more product or less water. NOTE: the downside is once it's blended what you don't use right away doesn't last in the fridge for more than a day maybe two tops. It goes bad quickly so I just blend the amount I need and use it immediately.

Yummy - easy to blend - too much $$
I love that this is just ONE ingredient. Super easy for me to make my own cashew butter. Price is high for just nut butter though.

Delicious Alternative
I love this product. I was looking for cashew powder to make milk but they all have maltodextrin which elevates blood glucose. This one is a paste. You mix with water, allowing for fresh cashew milk anytime I need it without worrying about it spoiling. I do like non dairy milks but most have a lot of fillers. I was looking for something a bit cleaner. Tastes good. I use in a variety of ways including smoothies, dressings and sauces. I mix it in a magic bullet or Vitamix with purified water.

Great for hot use with boiled water.
Firstly, I only use this with hot water, and combined with other ingredients this to make my "tea latte" - how I take my herbs and adaptogens in the morning, point being that I literally have no idea how it tastes on it's own. It made it really easy to not have to separately heat my cashew milk, before it all was combined in a blender. Vitamix has changed my life!!! I DO wish there was an organic choice, there is now an organic almond base option, so perhaps it's under consideration. Saved me some time in the morning. The small size lasted about a month, didn't use it every day. I will likely order the larger size next time. Thanks Joi!

It’s ok
I’ve been drinking milk alternatives for years and wanted to try this one ingredient milk replacement. I tried the cashew becuase that’s been harder to find lately. The flavor is fine, if you use 2 Tblsp to 1 cup water. However, it separates wry quickly (there will be nut grit in the bottom of your coffee by the time you finish it). At 1 Tblsp to 1 cup water, it’s very thin and fairly watery. Since I use it almost exclusively for coffee, it’s just average and lacks a bit of creaminess that I like. I do like the idea that it doesn’t have all the additional ingredients (which keeps other cashew milks from separating as much), but I feel like the servings price is greater than expected. I might get a gallon of nut milk from this jar. That’s considerably more expense than buying local.

Grainy, flavorless, ripoff
Took half the jar to make a respectable jug (1quart) of milk. Says there’s “7 quarts per jar” hilariously wrong. I was looking for a replacement for Oatly but this needs some added sugar and salt too. Not impressed.

Don't buy, it's not good.
The flavor is dead. It tastes flat, somehow. It's not good. It'll work in cooking but it's not at all pleasant to drink. I tried adding salt, I tried adding vanilla and sweetener. Nope. It's just not quite right. And not enjoyable. It's not worth $20. It blends well at first but separates after a few hours and gets a weird texture. And if you want to try this without the price tag, buy raw cashew butter and blend that with water. It's the same thing, but the same size jar costs roughly $8. Also, for context, I'm not vegan or vegetarian. I do like homemade and store bought cashew milk. I bought this to cut down on cost and time of buying my own cashews but it's really not worth the price difference.

What is not to like? This is great cashew milk!
I purchased JOI Cashew Concentrate last March when everything was starting to shut down due to Covid19. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get cashew milk during the pandemic and was assembling a "survival kit." As it turns out, I was able to get various nut and oat milks without issues, so I never opened it. Today I was out of nut milk so I decided to try JOI. Wow! Great stuff! I'm enjoying a rich and delicious cafe au lait as I type this review. It's now December and I had to look back to find my March order and leave this review. All I can say is, If you are on the fence, buy it and try it. I can't wait to experiment with it in cream sauces and soups.
