My grandson is a beginning reader. The content of this book is right in line with his current reading level. Only problem is when he saw the book, it scared him and for a while he was afraid to try. It says 5 books but they are all bound together in one big book. Grandpa had to do some fast talking to get him to actually look at it and understand we didn’t expect him to read 200 pages.

This book was not engaging for a struggling reader.

I have a 9 year old with Dyslexia. He always tells people he can't read. He is starting to though, it just takes him awhile to figure out the word, and to have the confidence to try. We love these books!!! The author has really done her research and created stories that a beginning, struggling reader can read! So many times we would go to our library and grab a beginner book with simple words, but then the book would add some very difficult words that had nothing to do with the sound we were working on. My son was able to pick this up and read each story! The look of amazement on his face was priceless😻 I highly recommend these books.

My 6 yo son loved reading these stories. He has needed a bit of a boost with his reading skills, and so I happened upon this series from a SOR FB group I'm on. I will buy more! Highly recommend.

This book is good but way too short for the price and illustration I felt could have been more illustrative. Helpful, yes. Thankful for it nonetheless.

Bought this for my friend's child. He was able to read it with some help from Mom. Funny stories that made them laugh. They liked it so much that she's going to buy the chapter books.

Grandson and Granddaughter felt successful reading on their own. Material was not overwhelming. A creative and fun way for young readers to build confidence. I would recommend this book

My son wasn't frustrated reading this, he enjoyed it.

My grade 2 daughter is having a hard time with reading. She was negative towards reading. This booked helped her to build her confidence and she enjoyed reading it. I just ordered the step 2 in this series.
