Quality double curved shower rod
Crescent Suite Double Curved Stainless Steel Shower Rod, 60-Inch, Brushed FinishI’ve always loved the luxurious, spacious feel of hotel bathrooms. I could never pin down exactly what I loved about them until a friend told that it was the curved shower rod! She was so right!Features:• Fits showers 57” to 60” wide• Stainless steel rod and brackets are rust resistant• Oval circumference prevents spinning and reduces frictionPros:Easy assembly• No joint in the rod (makes moving the curtain super easy without any hang-ups)• Looks and feels high-quality and sturdy• No rust (2 months in and still no rust)Cons:• Removal (It was tricky and tedious to take the whole thing down so that I could repaint)My Opinion:I really wanted a curved shower curtain rod for that luxurious, spacious feel I get at hotels. This rod definitely didn’t disappoint! With previous rods, curved and straight alike, I very much dislike the where the expandable portions created a joint. The curtain would always catch on it no matter what type of curtain hooks I used. This rod has no joints in it and my shower curtain glides smoothly from side to side. I accidently ordered two of these (my intension was to only put a curved rod in the master bath), but I am so happy I did! In the master bath we use the second bar as a towel rack, but it is also handy to hang drying clothes or a wrinkled shirt that needs to be steamed. In the guest bathroom, I put shower curtains on both rods for an elegant feel. I have received numerous positive comments on how fantastic the curtain rods look and how spacious the shower feels now. I would definitely recommend this shower curtain rod.

Got this to replace the one we had put in when we remodeled the bath. That one was rather cheaply made, and all the set screw holes were bulging out and not holding the rods. Thought from the pictures we ordered the same one, but it's not...For one thing, the rods on this are oval, and do not rotate in the sockets, making for a much more secure installation. Also, the sockets are much better made, with the set screw holes having much more material to hold to.I was concerned about installing it because the mounting brackets are about twice as wide as out older one, which meant I wound up having to drill two new "lower" holes in the tub surround material, but that went well (much better than my usual thumb-fingered efforts!) so all in all this is a great product!

Not overly awesome, but quite good.
Just received and have not yet installed but I have inspected all the parts. Here's my first impressions:- Fit/Finish: All parts look to fit together although snugness of fit is somewhat lacking. That will avoid some struggle when installing, I'm sure, but in terms of top-notch quality, it means its not superb, but certainly reasonable. The finish is decent, not excelent. There are many cast parts which have been plated and brushed. The surface is acceptable, but not perfect. It has that Chinese manfacturing look to it. In some cases I needed to buf it to bring it up to its intended appearance.Overall, I give a B+ for fit/finish.Solidness: I am sure once this is installed it will feel solid, especially since it only needs to hold a shower curtain and a damp towel. If this turns out to be incorrect, I will revisit this review later. However, I would say the parts are a little less hefty than I was hoping for. Its good that it has lightweight parts to keep the load on the mounts within reason, but I would have liked to have just a little more heft to the rods and mounts.Overall, I give an A- for the quality of the materials.Mounting: I have mixed emotions about the 4-point mounting design. First, having four screws near the edges will make it a solid mounting, so that's good. But I was hoping they would just use two screws in the center so I could hit a stud, if possible, and so I would only have to drill only two holes per side. My unit will be installed on top of tile and drilling 8 holes through tile is not going to be fun, even with my diamond coring bits. Also, its very unlikely I will be able to hit a stud will all the screws (although, to be honest, I'm not sure there's studs where I will be mounting this, so I'm not even sure I will be able to hit studs with two screws). At this point I would say that I would buy this again -- its certainly better than any other shower rod I have found yet. If it rusts or is not as solid as I would like, then I will revisit this review.Update: I finally got around to installing this unit and found installation to be fairly straight forward, even though I had to use a diamond coring bit to get through my porcelain tile. Drilling eight holes through porcelain tile requires patience. I did it by myself and found that the rod will stay in place via friction long enough to get it level and mark your holes. The wall anchors for use with tile work quite well.Ultimately, I may upgrade my fit/finish rating to A- given that this unit looks really good once installed and is not possible to look at it super closely. Also, being able to swoosh open the curtain without any hanging up is HUGE. My old spring-loaded rod drove me nuts.I love being able to hang a big towel full opened on the second rod. I live in an extremely humid climate and getting a towel to dry on a regular towel bar just isn't going to happen. I put the curtain on the inside rod and reversed the installation so the front rod is lower. Having the towel hang just outside the curtain is wonderful once the shower is over. Perhaps if you're entertaining guessts you may want to tuck away the towel, but for everyday living, having the towel hanging wide and still beaing able to swossh open the curtain is so convenient. When you think about spending nearly $60 for a shower curtain rod, its a bit of a reach, but since I had planned on putting in a $1000 glass door, this seems very affordable. Once I realized that having a curtain rather than a glass door frees up a tremendouns amount of elbow room in my tight bathrooms, I could easily justify spending a bit extra on the shower curtain rod. Given that the old spring-loaded rods were thebane of my existence, I feel quite good about the value I am getting from these rods. After I put in the first rod, I liked it so much I went ahead and got a second one and put it up. Its nice to have a consistent look across both my bathrooms.

Nice Rod!!!
Nicely made and a good quality well made shower rod. Too bad it was missing parts. That was why I gave it a 4.May 5, 2018We live in Arizona which means not a lot of moisture. We never clean or use anything on this shower rod. Since the time I installed the rod till now, it has discolored and is starting to rust. Real stainless steel would not do this. This system is horrible! I have taken my rating down from 4 to 1.

I love it.
I'm extremely happy with this shower curtain rod. It looks to be very well made. Took my about an hour to install. I had to drill through the tile. I'm in the process of remodeling my bathroom and I know where the studs are behind the tile, so I didn't use the anchors that came with it. The anchors look kind of small. If I was going to use anchors I'd probably buy some bigger ones. The kit uses some very tiny set screws to hold the two rods in the base plates. I used a little loctite on the set screws so they don't ever fall out (they probably wouldn't fall out). I also laid a wash cloth over my drain in case I dropped one in the tub during install. I hung the shower curtain & liner together on the inside bar & we've been hanging towels on the outside bar. It looks very nice. I've had buddies checking out the remodel was going ask where I got it. Everyone notices it.
