Building Bamboo Structures
This Lashing Cord is a requirement if you want to build anything with Bamboo. I have been making trellises with bamboo for a couple of years now and this lashing cord is what makes it possible. The black cord is attractive, thin and strong. It grips the bamboo like nothing else. I tried other things, including twine and duck tape, all to no avail. This lashing cord is easy to use. I found instructions on how to tie it on the internet but when your binding the canes together you have to improvise and this cord is very forgiving. The lashing cord may seem thin but I built a large trellis, I'm pretty proud of, that has survived many storms with no damage at all. I staked it to the ground with rebar, other than that it is all bamboo and lashing cord.

Waxy coating melts in direct sunlight, causes lashings to loosen
I used this product to lash bamboo together for a lightweight portable structure I’m building to house my chickens in and rotate them on pasture. I was initially thrilled with the cord’s tight binding qualities, but as soon as the structure was placed in direct sunlight the waxy coating started to melt. Two days later all of my lashings loosened. I’m hoping there may be a fix to this, but as of this moment, I’ll have to discontinue using this product. Pretty disappointed because it worked did such a good job of holding my bamboo together initially.

Perfect for bamboo projects
The lashing cord was perfect for the bamboo I used to tie the bamboo stakes and poles I made into a trellis/pergola. It is very strong, durable, weather resistant, and looks much prettier than wire. It is way much better than twine for lashing bamboo. If you need your bamboo project to last for months, instead of just a week or so, use this instead of twine. Good value for your money. I bought mine from Gardener's Supply Co, and I would give the seller 5 stars, too.

I like the way it looks also on the bamboo
Used this to put up a grid of bamboo poles for my tomatoes. It worked perfectly. IS working perfectly! Slighly sticky, so stays where you put it while knotting in place. I like the way it looks also on the bamboo. Also used it to make tee pees of the bamboo for my pole beans. Got the bamboo free from roadside groves - so with this coard makes for very in-expensive plant support. Very happy with the product. It should last a long time - but when it goes I will definitely order more. Works MUCH better than just plain twine or string. Fun to use. : -))

A great buy!
Great for lashing bamboo trellises. Thin but very strong. Makes the job fast and easy.

Waxed cord is a plus
I used this to lash bamboo poles together for a 12' x 8' trellis. The cord is waxed so I only needed to tie a few knots because the cord stuck together

I bought this to lash some bamboo together to make ...
I bought this to lash some bamboo together to make a trellis. It's a bit thinner than I expected, so I had to double it up on the thicker pieces in order that it look balanced. It holds quite well due to the waxing and is also kinder to your hands than rougher cording would be. The cording is flat rather than round.
