The BloomSky Weather Station is a compact and easily installed, full featured weather device. A rugged housing surrounds an ultra-wide angle HD camera to give you a first person perspective of the sky and surrounding environment. Packed inside the 5 in 1 weather station are high-grade sensors to measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, ultraviolet sun exposure and detects precipitation. Weather data and real-time images are transmitted by the built in Wi-Fi module at regular intervals throughout the day. The wide-angle camera is adjustable throughout a 49-degree shooting angle, giving you the ability to capture the sky from any location or orientation. The images and data are easily accessed from the immersive BloomSky app, available for both iOS and Android. The app automatically assembles a time-lapse video at the end of each day, giving you a stunning view of the day’s weather in a matter of moments. BloomSky gives you a completely new way to study and interact with the environment.

FAILED IN 6 MONTHS, MFG says tough! DO NOT BUY.
I can see the sky conditions at home while I am at work, and it tells the temp, humidity. The solar panel has kept the unit charged, so I don't have to take it down. When you make the account, you can see the last week of daily conditions in a fast play video, takes about 20 seconds to see all day. This kind of confirms days that the solar panels have low output because of clouds.Originally I gave it 5 stars, but 6 months later it stopped working. Tried everything, the mfg suggested a few things which I tried, but still, not working. Contacted seller, said it was over the return time limit, mfg said they would not warrant the unit because this seller was not an authorized seller! WOW, so much for either place being a good place for customers!

Worthless technology
Will not connect to the internet. As other users have reported the latest network routers like EERO have to be split rendering the rest of your household devices less useable. There are may new weather stations on the market that have newer technology and can recognize the 2.4g band and auto select it.There is ZERO customer service to speak of. the numbers do not work and the online database as well as live chat or any other method of getting support are non existent. Its really is way overpriced considered it has no wind sensor and reportedly just stops working after a month. the only unique quality the Bloom Sky has is the camera.STAY AWAY.

Great weather instrument. I purchased the STORM device as well (Different vendor).
I was reading quite a few horror stories about the BloomSky. I knew the product here was their first version. They already have a second version that (I believe) removes one sensor, and added bluetooth support.I had no issues in getting it connected up to my wireless network. I do have an Airport Extreme, which if you have done some research, there has been some 'issues' with BloomSky and Airport Extreme's.First off, make sure you name your 5GHz SSID differently so you can tell the difference. After you have plugged in your BloomSky to the provided power supply and have charged it fully (When the red LED goes out). Connect your iPhone/Android with the 2.4GHz SSID first. Open up the BloomSky app on your phone, go to Menu, then Add New Device. Follow the prompts on the screen (Turn it on, etc), and after a few minutes, you should get the congratulations prompt.I wanted to get the STORM device so I can record the wind speed, direction, gusts, UV levels, wind direction, as well as how much precipitation. The BloomSky station will only notify you if it's raining or not. It doesn't have the ability to keep track of how much as fallen. That's where the STORM comes into play. The quality of all items are superb. The camera is of weight, and the plastic doesn't feel 'cheap'. The stake is made out of high-quality plastic, as well as the mounting bracket and the solar panel.I mounted mine on a top of a fence stake with a few radiator clamps, which holds it very stable. If you are like myself, you will want to associate your BloomSky with Weather Underground. From reading previous posts, it was more convoluted back in the day. It is still a bit tricky, but manageable. Make sure you create an account at Weather Underground first. Click on the link below and click on the two hyperlinks (One to setup your Station ID, and the other one to setup your WebCAM ID). Make sure to select FTP upload. It's more reliable. URL needed to be removed so I could post this. Please search for "Setup BloomSky with Weather Underground". Click on the first link that shows up.Once you receive your Station ID and WebCAM ID, wait for at least a full day or two before you proceed!! This is very important and trips quite a few people up.

After about 5 months quit connecting to my wifi
Returned to manufacturer, quit working, was sent 3 different replacement units over a couple months none worked. EVERY THING ELSE works on my wifi, none of the replacements would work more than a few hours then go off line. Nice concept but poorly made. In the end I sent all back and asked for a refund, have not heard from them since. Would not recommend buying one to any one. The last one i had would not connect sitting in my office a few feet from my router..Would have preferred a horizon to horizon view, buttons are on the front side.. Have had some noise in the videos earlier morning, rain sensor does not work.
