I was so excited when I first installed my light. The brightness worked wonders on black and navy masks I was making. Sadly, very quickly the strip kept falling off my machine. The heat from the bulbs where heating the adhesive on the tabs and rendering them useless. I'm very sad. Anyone else have that problem and did you find a remedy?AMENDED REVIEW: Apologies for saying that the lights did not stick onto my machine. This was my mistake. I thought the little plastic tabs that came in the package were how the lights should be attached to the machine. Yes, the glue on those did melt. But what I did not realize is that the whole strip had an adhesive strip on it, and that the backing had to be taken off. Then stuck it onto the machine. How dumb am ?!! I saw the tabs first, so I just presumed that those had to be used to attach the lights. Now that I used the whole adhesive strip - the strip works like a charm. The strip has stayed put for a couple of weeks now and have not moved! Now I am very happy. Great light source. I would recommend these to anyone. So, does anyone know what the tabs are for?

Where has this product been all of my crafting years? This little light strip is super bright but adjustable with just a long press on the power button. To make it bright again another simple long press gradually increases the brightness once again. I will not be able to affix the light strip to my sewing machine until the holidays are over, but come the new year I'll get back to my sewing room. At that time, I will see how well the adhesive works. I'll follow up on my review at that time if necessary. I'm not sure the power cord from the power button to the wall plug is long enough but I'll have to work that out in a month.

Overall does what it's supposed to do and provide bright light to the underside of my 35 year old Bernina but the cord seems to be constructed backward as it is really long from the light strip to the on/off control block and really short to the usb plug-in. I had to get an extension cord and route from my outlet up to the top of the sewing table and the fix it with a command strip to have it anywhere near the machine to work. If I had known this before I bought it, I would have gotten another brand instead. Since you have to route the cord all over the place to get it positioned on the machine conveniently and still allow you to move the machine around, you definitely use all of the adhesive clips and then some to make it secure and look good. Functional but not the best thought out design.

this light is nice and bright on my brother sewing machine. This is something I have wanted for a long time. There is one issue I contend with. The switch is very hard to turn on or off or make it bright. I don't know if I am not touching it in the correct spot or not. I received one that I had a very hard time turning on and then I could not turn it off! I had to unplug it. I would have preferred to have bought the item that had a different switch. but that is hindsite. that said, I received a replacement quickly and I returned the *broken* one. I would really like to say buy this, but because of the switch problem i still have, I will not recommend this actual one. Try the other kind instead.

My wife purchased this devise and is very pleased with the performance. She installed it very quickly and uses it on her sewing machine to sew precise quilting blocks. Makes seeing, in only room light, much better under the machine arm. I would even say, it enhances safety in use of the machine thought better sight and use of the sewing machine. Very bright and easy to apply to any sewing machine, It could also be used on other devises, where some more light is needed. It applies with adhesive tape and is secure and (so far) long lasting.

Nice light! Need more light as we age and this is exactly what I needed to illuminate the work area on my sewing machine. There only fault, which isn't a real fault, is that it was a little more pliable for cornering. I was able to get it into a pretty good placement and it is certainly better than any other light I've tried to gerry-rig. I'm happy with it!

THIS LIGHT REALLY HELPS WHEN YOU ARE SEWING ON DARKER FABRICS OR AT NIGHT TIME WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE NATURAL LIGHT COMING IN.

It makes quite a difference. I usually use ott lite as added light. Using ott lite and this light add more light. I like it. I can see clearly underneath the harp.Because it is usb, i can use portable battery to power it.
