Love it when the sequel is FANTASTIC! đź’•
I love a good story where an author creates a truly complex and believable world. Aveoth is a highly anticipated sequel. The mysterious and terrifying Lord of the GarLycans finally gets his own book! My only critique of this specific book is that for 6 books we’ve seen the terrifyingly mysterious side of Aveoth, and how others react even when his name is spoken aloud- but in this book we rarely see him interact AS Lord Aveoth. Mostly we see him behind closed doors as his true self- so if you haven’t read the VLG series, you may not understand the overwhelming significance of the choices he makes or the way he acts in private. No spoilers here though: So many surprising things happen in this book- SERIOUS secrets revealed. A sequel you DO NOT want to miss! Of course there are the sexy scenes, so 18+ only. The Audible version is AMAZING. Savannah Richards is one of the few female voice narrators that I have found that can pull off a whole cast of characters and keep you enthralled the entire time you are listening! She ranks right up there with Vivienne Leheny with my all time fav’s

Aveoth may not be soft and cuddly, but he wasn't stone cold either!
Totally enjoyed Aveoth! He was actually a bit of a softy in private - showed the tough guy in public to keep order in his clan in line, but was thoughtful and sweet to Jill from the very beginning. Jill was a little rough, more in the first half of the book - she smoothed out a bit half-way through and got along better with A (and everyone else too) after that.I enjoyed the story line, the differences in being a GarLycan vs VampLycan and the look into life in the mountain (vs on the mountain). Some of the characters from previous books made a visit and we met new ones. There was a reference to Creed, who is the next hero coming soon, and am totally looking forward to his story - he sounded intriguing based on the little bit learned in Aveoth. All in all, another terrific book from Laurann!

Oh, Aveoth!! I think I want a Garlycan of my own now!! LOL
I have been waiting for so long for Aveoth to get his own book ever since Drantos, you have no idea! I couldn't seen the author not giving Aveoth his own book because, let's face it, who wouldn't want to get to know a hot and sexy Garlycan ? And has a huge soft heart hidden under a frosty exterior? Oh, hell yeah!! You know I'm going to read this one and I was not disappointed in the least!!I love how Laurann gives her female heroines some backbone and don't take sheeet from anyone, including the heroes!! Jillian was no exception to that rule and I loved how mouthy she got with Aveoth as well as her wit. The story was quick and never lost it's momentum as far as I was concerned. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know more of the Garlycan characters who made cameos in previous books in this series. I may have serious crush on Fray who is currently my favorite Garlycan. The story is engaging and keeps you wanting to turn the page to see what happens next, especially with Jillian spouting off whatever comes to mind in a group of old-fashioned relics in the clan. A perfect balance of action, romance, wit, comic relief and, of course, danger all combined to keep you reading well into the day/night. I think I'll be reading this one again just for the sheer wit from Jillian.I hope there is a novella in the future for this one or a cameo appearance in other books to see how previous clan member, both Vamplycans and Garlycans alike, couples have fared thus far. Are there children now? How are the heroines dealing with pregnancies? What are the differences with the human mates? Anyways, reading this book can be done without reading any of the others, but you'll be wanting to know how clan leaders fit into the story and why they're important, especially one Decker Filmore who has had a hand in just about every book in this series in some way or other. Yeah, I'll be reading this one again just because I would love an Aveoth of my own

... the biggest fan of this new series by my FAVORITE AUTHOR - but of course she proved me WRONG
I have to admit I wasn't the biggest fan of this new series by my FAVORITE AUTHOR - but of course she proved me WRONG!OMG! I warmed up to the series by book 3 but now...? BOOK 7 is my absolute favorite-est of all!Aveoth is a stone-cold GarLycan (you can figure that out) and his reputation precedes him... Bad-ass leader of the Gargoyle, GarLycan clan.Jill has had a difficult life but she's makin' it. Well until she gets kidnapped by her jerk (insert profanity! lol) of a grandfather's goons. She had no idea she wasn't totally human (and is only HALF of something else... but what?)So.... now she has to decide... live with a gorgeous hunk, who makes love to you like you're the last woman on earth, in a cave (with cable!? are you kidding me!? lol), watching over your shoulder for any one of the "clan" to kill you?? Sure ! Sounds like fun.If you know Laurann and her books... there are twists, turns, hunks and lots of SMEX - go for it and see what happens ...

I couldn’t put it down
The VLG series has been so engrossing and every character that is introduced I am so excited to read their story, so much so I couldn’t have told you who’s story I wanted more desperately, but the past 6 books have been all about the VampLycans and there were so many characters that I wanted to get their happily ever after but the GarLycans were such a mystery I was a tad disappointed the book was going to be Aveoth’s but OMG I should have had more faith because this story was FABULOUS! Not only do we get to explore the so far mysterious world of Gargoyles and GarLycans but we get a whole new raft of wonderful characters that I can’t wait to read more about. Aveoth is the leader of the GarLycans and in this world you need to be very restrained (if not repressed) in your emotions and display nothing and Aveoth is good at this, but beneath the surface? So much is going on! And to this amazing man comes a strong woman and even though Jill is mostly human (very faintly VampLycan) she stands her ground around Aveoth and demands his respect. She was perfect for Aveoth and also the clan and I look forward to reading how much these two shake up the Gargoyle/GarLycan world.

Amazing
This was my favourite story of the series and hope to get some more of misunderstood alpha male and a female who can help him have the happiness he has been waiting for.

New to the series
Loved this book! New to the VLG series and randomly chose this book to read as I was bored. Would recommend purchasing the series from the beginning though.

What a terrific read.....
...and totally worth the wait! This is the best book I have read in this VLG series. Aveoth has been the most terrifying character from the beginning of this series and I can see why! The surprise at the end of his story was so unexpected but I loved it!! Laurann Dohner is one author that I keep looking forward to reading the next books in any of her series!! Well done Laurann!
