I have been looking for a good herb grinder
I purchased this at the current list price. I have been looking for a good herb grinder. This one is really good. I didn't see any directions in the package but I was able to find some online. It was easy to use and keep clean. Seems well made and durable. It's a perfectly compact size. I love that you can adjust the coarseness of the grind. It's my first grinder so I don't have anything to compare it with, but it does what I needed it for. I haven't had any issues yet.

Decent for the price
We bought this as a cheap alternative to my personal favorite, the Space Case. While they look alike, there is a significant difference in the ease of turning. Space Cases glide effortlessly through the driest and stickiest of herbs. While the Alchemy Grinder gets the job done, it is not without a decent effort. It's generally not a problem with the teeth cutting through herb, but the threading between the top two pieces sticks pretty badly. Definitely not the worst of the worst, but you do get what you pay for. Also, the black coloring completely faded from one section, so it's not very aesthetically pleasing after just a few months of use. In short,Pros:-No metal shavings in herbs-Sharp teeth grind efficiently (these are very similar to Space Case's)Cons:-Pieces stick while turning-Can't grind stems-Middle piece faded to white

I got this grinder not too long ago and I am extremely impressed! Got here just 2 1/2 days after ordering! To anyone wondering if it works well with high quality medicinal herb- it does. The mesh screen does an amazing job at collecting "pollen" the stickier the herb, the less pollen. Either way I suggest putting a coin in the middle chamber and shaking it for about 30 seconds after grinding your herb to get the most "pollen"Definitely would reccomend to a friend (:

Grind With Pleasure and Ease!
I bought this herb grinder based on the great price and I liked the look all in black. This is a fantastic product, I got another one for a friend and he is equally impressed. It is a physically handsome unit, well made and solid. We love the ease of use, great torque that makes the job so easy and such an extra pleasure! It works with little effort as the teeth are so sharp, it is sure to cut through your toughest herb grinding needs! Solid Grinder
Holds up really well. I've had this for almost 2 years and it still works well. Even with higher quantities. Just be gentle on the screen as it can get deformed and start to shoot the contents everywhere if you aren't careful. Also the sides are somewhat thin, so don't drop it. The threads can get deformed if it dents and it'll stick when you try to open it.

Ok, but extra levels don't seem to produce finer product
The grinder seems well made, except for a half-pea sized section missing the black coating and a couple of wide scratch-like sections missing the coating.It grinds well, but I don't see how the additional levels-beyond the second--serve much purpose. Grinding for a vaporizer, the product ground from the top/start "insert buds" level (arriving at the second level) is still too coarse for vaping (MFLB) and needs further grinding from a finer grinder, and as such there seems no purpose that I can understand for the grinders in the second level: virtually nothing winds up finer or even pushed into the third level, on top of the screen. Needless to say, the screen, which is supposed to sift the finer kief into the bottom tray (with the nice little scraper for such fine powders) will never get any thing to "screen," since nothing seems to make it down from the second level, no matter how much I pack into the first level. Howver, it was worth the price and except for the minor missing bits of black coating, seems well made, and for the price I'd recommend it, as long as you don't expect fine powders--unless someone responds to this and "clues" me in.
