They once were great, but...
I have been using the M570 since early 2010 and they have lasted less and less time since then.I originally purchased for laptop use in 2010, then started getting two when that one failed, starting in 2015 (one for travel laptop and one for home). I then had to purchase 2 more in 2017 (3 months apart), then within a month of each other in 2019 (November/December). It is now September 2020 and both of these are sluggish and skipping in movement when I can get them to work at all. That is 9 & 10 months after the last two were purchased. That is unacceptable. These are too pricey to last for that little of a time. What once was a great product, is no more. I started purchasing wired trackballs around 2000 and have always been happy with Logitech, but I will no longer purchase the M570. It was a good run while it lasted I guess. I gave it 3 stars just because of how much I have enjoyed these over the years.

Reduced my arm strain greatly
Set up was super easy. Plugged in and instantly works. I have two 4k monitors, so I had to turn the mouse sensitivity on my OS up pretty high, otherwise I would be spinning the trackball for months just to get across one screen. The burning/numbness in the top of my forearm has disappeared. Now I feel typical tiredness after long sessions at the computer, but these are totally manageable and go away when I take breaks.I was worried that the thumb track ball design would cause strain on my thumb joint instead, but that has not happened yet after a few weeks of use.Update: I have had this for months and I am in love with this mouse. No arm strain, no wrist strain, I love it.

Cheap but works
I had been frustrated with Kensington trackball. I know that's supposed to be good standard, and you certainly pay the price for the reputation, bit I found it to be cludgy, unresponsive ... Very durable though, because I threw that garbage at the wall many times, and it kept working. Anyway, I have up on it and switched to Logitech. Thumb ball takes time getting used to, but the button layout is good, and even though it's cheap and feels cheaply made, it works great.

The best trackball mouse I've ever had
I love this mouse. I have had a Microsoft trackball mouse for the last 10 years and even though it was acting flaky I kept using it because it is no longer available. It finally got too bad to use so I searched for something similar and this was the closest I could find. It works great, even better than the Microsoft mouse did years ago. If you like a trackball mouse, you can't go wrong with this one.

So nice I bought it twice
Track ball is smooth. I can easily pop it out every now and again to clean the ball receptacle. Wrist pad has a tacky underside so it doesn’t slip around. I have one at work With a normal desk setup and an second one at home. At home I sit in a large recliner with a wall mounted monitor and I use a wireless keyboard and this mouse on a lap desk. This mouse and pad is clutch for that setup because it doesn’t slide off of the not level lap desk and it doesn’t occupy much desk real estate.

2nd one that I bought
What can I say about this mouse that really has not been said before. I can only add, do not mess with a solid product. Some have complained about micro switch failures, but the only failures that I found with my previous mouse came after a faithful 5-plus years of service in gaming, photo editing, video and music editing, test taking, spreadsheet building and construction, power point, e-mail, etc. Show me another mouse that can truly hold up to this and I will test it. But I will buy what I know to be good, and the mouse pad that it came with is better than the one that I was using.

This is my 4th one - but it's the best.
The first time I got this mouse, was for my Windows XP...yeah, long time ago! I think 2001 so 20 years ago. It means I replace it every 5 years, but I would go back to the old mouse for anything. The thumb ball makes all the difference. There's less stress on your hand and wrist and it tracks much smoother than the old ones. You'll see and feel the difference. It's truly the best.

I love it! Won't use anything else.
I have used these for over 20 years! So, it's a no brainer for me.I'm a gaming demon! They last between 2 & 3 years, but it depends on how many new games I get over that amount of time to play, not counting my regular gaming.MYST

Comfortable
I bought this to replace an older model and it works perfectly. I like the mini receiver as the older model and a corded receiver, now have less on the desk. The mat is a good accessorie also. I must remember to turn off the switch underneath whaen I finished. Nice that I can place it on my lap when I need to, allows me to relax more.

A good choice
I work all day with the mouse and I am happy with this type. After I had inflammation of the tendon it has been recommended to me. It takes a little time to get used to it as it stays fix on the desk, but I do not strain my fingers and wrist - I bought it together with the gel pad to give a healthy support to my wrist.

If using a laptop on the go this is essential
This by far the most practical mouse I've used with a laptop. I can now use my laptop comfortably sat in an armchair and rest the mouse on the armrest, my leg, my chest, anywhere that's comfortable. Its takes just a few minutes to get your digits familiar with the unusual track ball design but once a few pages are swiped it's second nature.Wish I had bought this years ago, it really is that good.

Comfortable and Easy to use
I use this with a laptop whilst I'm sat in an armchair. The mouse sits on the arm and is easy to use. As one would exprcet from a Logitech product it's well made and accurate.

A comfortable track ball for office use.
I've used trackballs for years, this M570 is comfortable amd a good size for my small/medium mans hand. The mat is a usefl support addition.I don't game so I don't know its suitability for gaming.
