It can't handle its power
This is going to be a weird review, let's just get this out of the way. It's almost too powerful for its size.Pros:-Options, this thing thought of everything. Pairing options: NFC or standard mode. How you want to play your music, via bluetooth, transflash, or aux.-Battery is a beast, came 2/3rds charged. Got it at 4pm and at 3am the next day it's still going strong with about 4hrs per dot it seems, so about 12hrs of playback. Pretty decent.-Thing gets loud, loudest speaker I own and I have 5 bluetooth speakers in the $30 rangeCons:-Sound. I wished I had better ears and better knowledge of acoustics, but I don't, so I can't properly explain what's wrong with it. If I had to guess and I alluded to it, is that it's too powerful of drivers for this size of speaker, and the way its designed isn't great acoustically. The speakers are too close to each other and then there's the bass radiator that's right on top of the speakers too. So the sound is rattling around and colliding with each other and causing acoustic issues. Vocals sound amazing, bass can be too strong and violent that if you place it on its back with a piece of foam or something under it to absorb some of the bass, it does kind of improve the sound quality, but the speaker loves to walk around if that's any indication of how powerful the bass is. Even on the most mild songs at 50% volume, the speaker likes to move around. Also it seems like the extreme low ends are covered, and the mids are spot on, but everything else is ignored. I listen to a wide variety of music from Rammstein to Tame Impala and some techno to round things out. I tried some classical too, that didn't sound terrible, it actually was pretty nice. One song I played "From the Sun" by Unknown Mortal Orchestra really caused the speaker to throw a fit, regardless of your opinion on the song, it's a mundane song, but it seems to hate synths so I don't know if that's like a "square wave" issue or what, but if it's a synth heavy song like an M83 track then it can have issues. Again, I think the issue is that it's too powerful for its package and needed to be elongated with the speakers spread out, radiator put in between the left and right channel and I think that would have fixed the issue. Also What I've noticed that I Had to do with another speaker was add padding to the front of it to help absorb vibrations since I think the metal grill is all there is to it. Some speakers incorporate an acoustic fabric to the inside of the mesh to help absorb the sound and make it sound less harsh since it's kind of suffering from a speaker in a tin can affect. Too much reverberation.-Controls. I wished that you pressed to increase or decrease volume instead of held down the arrow keys to change volume. Also (in general) wished this was more universal, seems like 50% of my speakers you press to change volume and the others you have to hold down to change volume. Apparently the camera feature only works with Apple products, I own Android and tried it on my Note 4, nothing.-The flap that covers the power, aux and tf port is just terrible. It falls off when playing music due to the vibrations. The only thing that it's "hooking" onto is the aux port, there's a bit of rubber/TPU protruding from the flap that's about 1-2mm in circumference for a 3.5mm port, so it's literally not doing anything. Most devices have a bit protruding from the flap that latches on to the microUSB port and aux jack. As a result, I wouldn't recommend this anywhere near water due to its propensity to fall out with normal playback.-It looks rugged and feels well built. I will argue that the latter is more accurate, not so much with the former. The "rubber" encompassing it is TPU, and rather thin about 1mm thick if not less. Also that flap destroys any water resistance that it could offer. Though unlike silicon, you can tape that door closed when not in use so there is that. Tape doesn't really stick onto silicon easily, but it does to TPU, or has better adhesion.Overall, it's a decent speaker, but the cons would have me recommending you look elsewhere. As I said, the parts are top notch, but the "layout" isn't well thought out causing distortion and reverb at a moderate volume. If it weren't going for the whole "compact" thing, and took the time to stretch its body out a bit, it would sound better.Update/hint/tip: So weird discovery in regards to sound quality. It improves greatly if the device is placed on something hollow. I was folding laundry on my plastic card table listening to music and the sound was very different and had less reverb than it did on my nightstand. So there is that, but drums lack a certain amount of punch to them and sound stifled still regardless of the surface it's on. Drums sound like the musician is just using the foot pedal drumstick.Update:So in my initial review I had some issues, but after a bit of breaking in and acceptance, I kind of love this little speaker and I created a simple, not overly elegant fix to the biggest annoyance to this device, the floppy and loose flap that covers up the ports and ruins any form of waterproofing this device had. Take a bit of electrical tape and tape up one of the edges, you should see when you close it, it feels infinitely more secure and doesn't shake loose even on bass heavy songs. I added pictures to show you how simple it is. You may want to take an old gift card or flat piece of something to smooth/flatten the tape to ensure it adheres well to the flap. It should stick nicely since the perimeter is TPU and as such takes well to adhesives while releasing them without much residue left behind. As you can see in the "inside flap" photo, I didn't do a great job of flattening the tape to the flap. It's still a tad bubbly. When you close it now, it almost creates a mini vacuum, and it sits better too.

Fantastic Punchy Bass Speaker
I love this thing, I travel a lot for work and always bring it with me to listen to music in the hotel room, and it has not let me down in the 1 year I've owned it! The battery life is crazy, I think I've used it for 8 hours straight before with no problems. The sound is really full, midrange is perfect, high end is perfect, the bass is good but it is not very deep -- it's more punchy bass, but it has a very good amount of this type of bass. Overall it's what you would expect for something this size with a giant passive radiator in the opposing side to the real drivers, sounds much larger than it really is thanks to the passive radiator. Much better than a ported system for this size unit.I've also used this thing at the beach and that was perfect, the clip holds it to anything and it will play loud enough to hear all over the beach. The sand and water was no problem for it.Some considerations: I wish it would send the battery life to my iPhone like my other bluetooth devices, so I could look at the battery life on my phone, but that is a minor inconvenience. Also at max volume, the unit will move around a lot on a smooth surface due to the punchy bass.It definitely does not have nearly as much bass or deep bass as compared with the Bose Mini Soundlink, but this is also much smaller than the Soundlink, and much much cheaper.

Awesome!!!
This speaker is excellent! I really like everything about it, especially the sound. It is loud for a such a small box and the sound is crisp, clear with nice warm bass. I enjoy listening to it on my porch or at lunchtime recess with my students for a music break. It's really well built, it has a rubberized covering and it's water resistant. It pairs easily and quickly with my phone and other Bluetooth devices. I took it to a picnic one day, used the clip to hang it underneath a beach umbrella and sat down and enjoyed the music. It played nice and loud even people at near by tables were enjoying it.It is awesome. I wish Ayfee would make one that plays at a higher wattage-maybe 15 or 20 watts-and with 1 or 2 more drivers. After buying this speaker, I purchased a bigger similar Bluetooth speaker (DiVoom Box) thinking it would be better at higher wattage, but it did not have the same sound, or warm bass as this one. I returned it.Ayfee has got the right design with it's hi definition speaker drivers and rectangular bass radiator. It gives off the right sound with extremely good bass-- considering the size.Very nice.

Pretty amazing sound, high waterproof rating
Editing my review now that I've had and used this for a number of days. For being a 7 watt speaker it's just the right size. I did not want something big and bulky, and while this is probably a little heavy to carry on your belt loop, there are plenty of other places to hang it that are just right...shower rod, towel rack, tent, backpack, tree branch, etc.I'm listening to it in my backyard and the clarity is very good as is the volume. I wouldn't be comfortable turning it up full blast out here because it would definitely get the attention of the neighbors. The bass is pretty good also.Rated IPX6 is a big reason I bought this. If I bring it along on my bike or a walk, it's reassuring that it's rated to withstand water pelting it if I get caught in the rain.

Just keeps going
I've had this now for a few years and this little thing just keeps going. Have used outdoors, camping, in the shower, in the car, while canoeing and anywhere else you could think of and it just won't break. Sound is also good for the size, but suffers a bit when against a a wall or other obstruction
