Even with the carburetor tool a lot of issues.
I had ordered the carburetor tool after a very gracious reviewer stated that he had to or she had to use the carburetor tool to adjust to get to the Husqvarna to actually run. What kind of company would actually put out something that is quot and quot a certified refurbished item without actually truly testing it on full run and making sure it actually cuts well. Husqvarna is as equally culpable as a company, wouldn't you test your own products? Even with the right fuel oil mixture and an ethanol cleaner it struggles to run at full speed, it does cut well however it will never idle and runs like at a 3/4 speed compared to other weed eaters I have used I have an echo weed eater that is battery powered and cuts better than this weed eater the unfortunate thing with that Echo weed eater is that the battery only runs for about 30 to 45 minutes max on its full capability I have a hilly 3 Acre property that requires a riding lawn mower walk behind weed eater and these two weed eaters cut all the weeds and grass for a nice clean property Husqvarna is known to traditionally be a very strong Product Company but I have been reading and seeing a lot of reviews lately that show Husqvarna has definitely let its traditional quality control go out the window. That there are U.S companies that don't do the full quality control like this refurbishing company didn't do, especially at the price point of this refurbished item (not even 50% of the item brand new) is sad. . I shouldn't have to buy a carburetor tool to adjust a "certified refurbished" item. This item is honestly only worth $75 because you can find a used weed eater on Craigslist, for the same amount of price with the same amount of power without all the lost time and wasted time. I will make sure to never buy anything from this company.

Works OK, appears to have been used quite a bit. 30-day warranty
Mine had a dirty air filter and the spool of trimmer line was almost empty, indicating it had been used several hours. Buying refurbished is risky. You can get an almost new one or one that has been used a lot and abused. You never know what kind of fuel it was run on. Some freeloaders use a store's return policy as a cheap alternative to renting. The Husqvarna warranty packaged with it shows that refurbished trimmers only have a 30-day warranty, versus 2 years for a new one. This trimmer is harder to start than my previous one which was weed eater brand, but I figure I needed a heavier duty trimmer to keep up with our acerage. The plastic housing around the primer bulb was sharp and I got a nasty cut on it so I removed the cover and filed down the sharp spots. The spool is much more cumbersome to re-load than lighter weight trimmers. It did not come with an extra spool, and replacements are expensive.UPDATE Nov 2016 still running strong after many hours of use.

Needs adjustment right out of the box
From the first use this trimmer wouldn't run full throttle without bogging down. I had to modulate the throttle to keep any kind of line speed. It needs is a carburetor adjustment on the high side since it seems to be running too rich. Once I did that I could just hold the throttle down and go to work. The trimmer does a good job with short to medium grass. Around a normal home it would be great. However, if you've got long grass (two feet +) or want to also cut brush I'd get something else. It is not good at self-cleaning the grass and it gets wound up around the trimmer and you have to clean it manually. User technique here helps a lot but it will still happen with long grass and slow you down.

Works great, starts everytime.
I bought this when I purchased several Husqvarna gas power tools all at the same time (trimmer, blower, chainsaw). This was the only reconditioned unit out of the three Husqvarna's that I got, and funny enough, it starts and operates more reliablably than my brand new (non-reconditioned) Husqvarna units. Some of those are temprimental and one (chainsaw) had to be sent back under the factory warranty within the first couple of weeks of use. Meanwhile my reconditioned trimmer has been chugging along just fine with zero issues.

Broken on arrival - seller blew us off
First, this string trimmer was a Christmas gift from my father to me. He has since passed away. Being a string trimmer, there was no call for its use until recently. It was actually Father's Day and I wanted to honor him by using his gift for the first time. I added the gas/oil, the same that I use in my Husqvarna blower with no problem, but the trimmer would start and then quickly stall. This went on and on until I finally realized, this wasn't just a breaking-in thing, but a serious problem -- brand new out of the box. I contacted the horrible seller, VM Express, and explained the situation. They wrote back, too bad. I contacted them again, stressing that this was new out of the box and doesn't work. They wrote back, "nothing we can do". I wrote them one more time to see if they would stand behind their product, but, again, one sentence that they were sorry for my loss but no dice. This product gets 1 star because it didn't work out of the box. The seller, VM Express, gets 0 stars for not standing behind their sale.

VMinnovations suck just as bad as this product!!!!
I received this unit in great condition. I ran it the first time for about 15 minutes ran great. 2nd run was about 30 minutes and again great.3rd run lasted 5 mins and no longer runs at all.VMinnovations offered to exchange or refund the item GREAT! EXCEPT!!! I have to cover return shipping of $70That's insane, stay away from this product and avoid VMinnovations at all costs, this is borderline scamming people. The shipping is more than half that of another unit.RUN PEOPLE, RUN!!!!!

So far so good
The stem coupler to change attachments is kind of shoddy. Needs a backup wrench to hold the nut while securing the hand screw clamp. I bet the new ones don't. It also needed a small adjustment to the carburetor to make it run smoother. Other than that no problem so far. Only used it twice so far. It has a lot of power for sure. Going out to the heavily weeded property this weekend to use a brush cutter attachment with it. So, we'll see.
