Drill Mate Bit/Driver Holder

A handy addition to your cordless drill or driver. It is nice to just attach a few screws to the bottom of your driver and have them handy - especially if going up a ladder, into the attic, etc. and you don't want to wear a tool belt. I have not used it to hold bits as any attached items can be dislodged if you bump the tool too sharply. I have received one of their newer models that has 8 magnets instead of 4 and it does indeed hold metal items much more securely. I have a drill mate on all my batteries.

its looks good on the Dewalt drill with the black rubber feel and the yellow letters .the reason i didn't give it a 5 star is the double side tape that came with it , after a while of heavy duty usageby meaning putting the drill on the ground and left it and again , the tape started to come out , so i had to replace it with double sided 3M , now its fixed and secure well .

Item works as advertised. Holds any extra drill bit, screws, etc. The thing you must keep in mind is that the same magnet that holds the bits and screws also picks up the metal chips when you drill steel and they are hard to remove. The advantage outweighs this inconvenience.

Love being able to hold multiple items and not be forced to set them down then try to remember where you put it. It affixes to the battery pack, so if you have multiple packs you might consider ordering multiple magnets.

Overall:This product works as advertised. Simple to use, simple to apply, great benefit! I have been drywalling the new nursery and found it cumbersome to have to wear my tool belt just so I could carry my drywall screws with me. With this, I can throw a handfull of them on the bottom of my drill and go!Construction:Seems to be constructed of quality, light weight material. The dimensions fit PERFECTLY onto my Dewalt 20v battery. This isn't some cheap chinese plastic crap. The magnets are pretty strong. They hold onto screws well enogh they don't fall off when the drill is shaken or moved, but they come off easily with my fingers.It is so nice to have a couple bits and screws handy at all times!! Perfect for drywall, decks, and other general assembly.Experience:Their customer service is A+++. I had an issue getting my drill mate. Was no fault on their end, I think it somehow got lost during USPS transit or someone stole the package off my porch. Either way, I emailed drill mate through the Amazon website and they responded within an hour! I told them I never received their product, and with no questions/no hassles they rushed me another! They informed me about when the package left their facility and everything, and still helped me out QUICKLY.Fantastic experience with this company, will buy and recommend to all friends and family!

I so looked forward to this item.The magnets are just not very strong.I would not use this item you are concerned about screws falling on the ground only to be run over by a car tire.The photo shows drill bits being held in place. Maybe so until you need one and reach for it or you gently move the tool then it's back down the ladder you go.I read one user complained about it collecting metal shavings....Really? Like a nut driver??? You miss the point. Besides it's surface would be much easier to clean shaving off.Short version. It needs MUCH stronger magnets. And I'm talking ones that picks up the whole dam box of screws by just setting it on top. and same with the drill bits.I'd rather have problems Cleaning shavings off or removing un needed screws than have things dropping into bushes below or on someone's head.

I can't even put small screws on this thing. They just all fall off when i swing it around to get the next one. Not nearly powerful enough magnets. The design is a good idea though.

Works great, just makes it hard to fit drill back into storage case. Super tight. But does fit. If knew this I may not have purchased. Would have found a different kind.
