Cuisinart SPB-600FR SmartPower Deluxe Die Cast Blender, Stainless (Renewed)

The first one arrived DOA. It was replaced immediately. The replacement is perfect.I bought this model because of the construction and glass container. I don't need 10 speeds so that wasn't an issue for me. The motor is very good with enough torque to pulverize frozen strawberries for the main ingredient in some very good smoothies. Add red raspberries two bananas and some blueberries with grape juice. This stuff is amazing. Now this isn't a juicer so the smoothies are more like a thick milkshake with berry seeds.To the solid blender figure in the big discount for being refurbished and the great Amazon service and this is a no brainer.

What a quiet blender! I love it. My previous cheaper blender (lower end brand name) used to make a racket. This one obviously makes some grinding noise as it blends, but it's a lot less obnoxious.As far as blending, it chops ice without a hitch! My previous cheaper blender... the ice cubes would dance on top of the blade! The blades would just tickle the ice; but no chopping/pulverizing. This Cuisinart does the job of pulverizing ice for my icey drinks and smoothies with frozen fruit.Lastly, it's an attractive blender; stainless steel finish. Goes with anything.Thanks Cuisinart!Update 10/2015: Weeks ago, it started to smell like burnt rubber, and started to slow down a bit, and today it slowed down to a crawl and started smoking (burnt rubber to the hilt!). I unplugged it and went out and bought a Black and Decker Blender. I even invested in that optional Canopy Protection Plan; and when I entered my information online, the automatic response I got was that Cuisinart most likely would still have my product under warranty (being that it's under 2 years) and to proceed with Cuisinart. But from all of my internet searching and spending time on Cuisinart's website, there is no place anywhere to seek out warranty information on their homepage, so I may have to call them directly. Though most frustrated Cuisinart product owners have related their horror stories in dealing with them (including having to spend money to ship the item to them and paying for return shipping!) and I am hesitant to even bother. No thanks. Never again, Cuisinart.

I love this blender! It looks great and performs beautifully. Crushes ice very quickly and evenly. Definitely worth the price!

I bought this product refurbished. The price was impossible to beat, and the unit works well, but it has a funny mechanical smell when running that makes me nervous to give it a big job.

I used it to blend hot coffee. It was great. I would recommend it for any one looking to blend hot liquid

It stopped working less than a year after we bought it and not under warranty because it is an old product.

This blender just works great. It replaces a blender/food processor that I did not like. Every morning with old blender I placed milk, bananas (frozen) and sweetener in blender to make a smoothie. Instead I always got a lumpy. My family still refers to it as dad's lumpy but with this new Cuisinart blender it is just as smooth as can be. Love it.

I wanted to love it because it's so pretty, but it never worked well. It's so loud and takes forever to blend a smoothie. Purchased refurbished Aug 2020...fast forward to end of July 2021 annnnd it's broken. Do not recommend.

This Cuisinart blender worked great for 4 months. It then started to leak. The manufacturer does not cover a refurbished product nor does the insurance offered by Asurion Protection. You won't fool me twice!
