Really like this Bible!
I have one already and bought one for my husband who is in RCIA. It is easy to use and the font is slightly bigger so easier to read!

Good translation, BAD footnotes! Get
The translation is quite good. It has inclusive language, but it is very reasonable and not utterly ridiculous like the NRSV-CE. Unfortunately, some footnotes can be quite problematic. The prefaces to each book also. So if you buy this Bible, take the footnotes and prefaces with several grains of salt.

Great, inexpensive bible
A note before reviewing: this bible can be bought from sellers through Amazon (and not Amazon itself) for about $6.84. This is an excellent deal, but not so much at the $11 price directly from Amazon. Just look under 'New from ...' link.Review:I was looking for a cheap New American Bible (Revised Edition) without microscopic font that I could carry around and use without worrying about cost. This Bible fits the bill perfectly.Size: it is about 9 by 6 inches, and a good 1.5 - 2.0 inches thick. This is to be expected with New American bibles, because of the massive amount of notes. Overall, it is a good size, is portable, and not too heavy.Construction: This is a standard paperback Bible, and the cover is no different from any other paperback Bible in build quality. The pages are very white (unlike many cheap bibles, which are greyish), which is very pleasant as far as contrast with the font, which is black (obviously). The pages are thin, however, and highlighting is a definite no-no, at least with standard highlighters (I take no points off for the thin paper because of the price). Pen or pencil marks, however, show far less. Overall, the build quality is better than most extremely cheap bibles.Readability: The font is a very nice size, and the paper is very white, which makes it easy to read. This is by far the most readable cheap bible I've ever bought. The layout is very nice, and the spacing between lines is excellent. The margins are even a decent size. If the paper were a little thicker, it would be my favorite bible by far.Translation: The New American Bible, while not without flaws, is a good translation. A modified version is used in the Mass, and so it is nice to be able to read along with the Liturgy. Personally I like the NABRE quite a bit, and it's great for spiritual reading. The notes, however, are often useless, as they give a secular view or opinion and bear no semblance of orthodox Catholic thought or tradition. They can be useful, however, for knowing times, dates, locations, the meaning of names, ect. Conclusion: for a cheap bible (roughly $7), this is an excellent deal, and I'd recommend it to anyone who desires a bible that they can use and abuse, FAR FAR more than the other tiny red New American Bibles with microscopic font and greyish dark paper.

Good Bible for the home
During my last move, my Bibles were lost. So I ordered new ones. This one is a pretty Bible, and the color makes it easy to spot in the bookcase. I keep three versions of the Good Book: this one, a standard King James and a NIV. It's for my research. The print is clean, it's easy to read, and most importantly for my purposes, it will handle the constant use.
